Car exterior wash & detailing - recommendations nearby?

I used to use Dropless to come and wash my car. However, they look like they have closed down. Does anyone have a recommendation for a local place (or a service that comes to you) that does a good car wash, but can also, once in a while, do more exterior work like waxing or applying ceramic coating?

Car Tow Bar Remowal (not fitting) - any recommended mechanics nearby?

I bought a used car with a tow bar, but have decided I would like to get it removed. As I don't like the look of it sticking out, and always afraid I'd damage the car behind when parallel parking. As I have no use for a tow-bar, would like to just get it removed - guessing it also lightens the car, ...

Re: Roti King opening soon at Battersea Power Station

Wanted to add that I went a few weeks ago, and it was excellent! The only caveat is that it was super busy - the busiest restaurant out of all the ones there - with a queue out the door. However, because it is a casual eats type of place, tables did turn over rather quickly, and we managed to get on...

Flat roof repair companies

Had a leak pre-Xmas, but frustrated with the roofing experts that I have contacted. Some just don't even want to come and quote, as they're fully booked up. Some came to quote, but then never sent the quote despite chasing! And one was really good, but the pricing is eye-watering too high. So 2023 N...

Antigen testing nearby Clapham/Balham for a cruise?

My parents are going on a cruise and I need to sort out a supervised, rapid antigen testing for them. They don't like faffing around with online tests, so want a place they can walk into off the street to get a supervised test done, and results back, and physical printout of the letter. Does anyone ...

Re: Cab to Heathrow

On the apps (Uber, Bolt, Free Now) it will probably be like £45 off-peak, and about £50-£60k peak times. That is a standard car (sits 3 comfortably, 4 at a squeeze) and probably two big suitcases (or one big and two small). If you add an extra £10-15, you can get a larger car, like an SUV style, tha...

Re: Is Battersea the new Belgravia?

Sadly if you don't have your own Bentley and chauffeur, or a private helicopter, the transport is terrible. Yes, there is the Northern Line there now... but the trains run only every 10 minutes during peak times, and much less frequently during off-peak!

Re: Quooker - worth the money?

Absolutely worth the money. I live in a two adult household, and its paid itself over many times in the 5 years I've had it. So if you have a family, and much more hot water consumption, I can imagine it to be even better value for money. There's the space saving element, if you have precious counte...

Re: TfL announces June start date for rental e-scooter trial

Please look up Emily Hartridge. She even used to post on these forums (username EmilyHartridge). Sadly, she was riding her escooter on Queenstown Road when she was hit by a rubbish truck and instantly died. She was only 35. I know there are dangers on bikes too but these go so much faster. Please b...

Same day or 24 hour PCR tests for flying - any recommendations?

Looking to book a PCR test, as the country I am traveling to requires a test within 48 hours of arriving. This means I'm looking for a same-day or within 24 hours result, and needing a PCR test service that is reliable. Does anyone have experience with a local test place? I have found two - DAM Heal...

Re: Children’s Hairdresser

Platform Barbers at Streatham Hill.

They also have those toy cars for babies/toddlers to sit in! On the times I've been there myself to get a haircut, I've observed the barber there have a good way with young children, so maybe good with babies too?
