Re: Advice on moving from Clapham

Depending upon your budget buying off the Northcote Road is great for a community feel and brilliant schools but it is REALLY pricey for what you get in terms of sq ft! Being close to Clapham Junction is great for Waterloo and Victoria. Wandsworth Common is lovely and there is a larger range in hous...

Re: What's your school doing re: opening 1 June?

I have 3 kids at Belleville spread over year 3 and year 6 and I have been really impressed with their approach. The kids have had loads to do covering core subjects as well as extra curricular activities should they wish. Most importantly for me though there hasn't been lots of pressure for them to ...

Re: What weed or plant is this?

I downloaded a rather good app the other day called PictureThis which tells you which plant is which when you take a photo of it.
There is a free trial but I've just let mine run as I'm useless with plants and it's been fun for the kids.

Anyone using Mathnasium at home?

Hi there,

Is anyone using this? If so do you mind letting me know how much the subscription fee is?
I've been on the website but the only way of finding out is by signing up, which I'd rather not do if the fees are sky high.

Hi guys, I just wanted to confirm, as a few folk have been asking, that St.George's are still allowing one birth partner for all labouring women birthing with them. This includes caesarean births - so if you have one booked your birth partner will be there to support you. The only time that this wil...

Re: Masterclass Series at Kimberley Swim Clinics

Oh Kimberley Swim Clinics, we never got the chance to say a HUGE thank you for these masterclasses last time you ran them. Our oldest daughter who we booked in was moved up to pre-squad at Leander following the week so the teaching absolutely nailed it. She had been a bit stuck before but the attent...

Re: Wandsworth secondary school place allocation information for 2020

And if you are going to actually go private then please, please don't forget to let your state school places go. That way the kids who are currently on the wait lists for their preferred state school can find out where they are actually going to go sooner rather than later. It is so sad when you hea...

Re: More peopled voted for parties supporting a 2nd referendum, than voted for parties in favour of Brexit.

Thanks Guy. Keep at it. These are hugely depressing times for politics and the state of this country but there will be a swing back. I find Carole Cadwalladr (@carolecadwalla) very, very interesting on this subject. All the folk saying that they couldn't possibly vote for Jeremy Corbyn or in the Sta...

Re: LBoris victory

No thank you. I am still hoping that the EU will be offering an option for individuals to remain a part of the EU as suggested by Guy Verhofstadt in 2016. You want to leave, then go for it. I'd rather stay within thanks. This election, like Brexit, was won by a whole bunch of dodgy bots and the righ...

Re: Specialist coffee emporiom opens on Bellevue Road

We popped in on Friday and loved it. Lovely little areas and the kids all had to sit in the swing chair!  😄
Great coffee too.

Re: Child poverty in Battersea is increasing at one of the fastest rates in the country

God this breaks my heart. And Battersea is perceived to be financially okay. I cannot imagine what it must be like to live in one of the poorest areas of this country. I also just watched a video of a Conservative counsellor advising parents to just go and get a pay day loan.  What kind of country h...
