Re: Can anyone recommend a good Easter /Summer holiday Wandsworth Test camp?

Thanks Katherine,

That sounds like just what we are after. Sadly we'll miss the Belleville (daughter is at Belleville) one but will probably book in for the later one at Ravenstone. Thanks.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good Easter /Summer holiday Wandsworth Test camp?

Hi Rachel,

That is great.
Is this appropriate for the Wandsworth Test though? We are not aiming for an independent school 11+ test.

Can anyone recommend a good Easter /Summer holiday Wandsworth Test camp?

Hi there,

I'm looking for recommendations for any Easter or Summer (or both) camps that prepare children for the Wandsworth Test in October.

Thanks in advance

Re: Non-chocolate advent calendars - where????

I went to Postmark in Balham!
They still have a good selection of huge, really gorgeous ones.
Happy kids and happy me 😍

Re: Non-chocolate advent calendars - where????

Ahhh I might have found a place in Balham.

We love the old-school, glittery, gorgeous calendars 😃

Non-chocolate advent calendars - where????’s the 1st tomorrow and I’m running a bit late on this.

However, since Between the Lines has gone I can’t find anywhere to buy really nice advent calendars. That aren’t just the chocolate ones.

Anyone know of anywhere?

Thanks much x

Re: Looking for a place to stop en route to Cornwall

We tend to stop at Montacute House (National Trust) for a run around and a play on the swings. It's lovely and they have ice-cream!
Barrington Court is another option.

Re: Springfield - loss of golf - please give your feedback

I couldn't agree more. And considering the opposition when the plans first went in it was absolutely shocking that it got the go ahead. So many kids go there and no, not all kids want to play either football or rugby - both of which are already very well catered for close by. I can only assume that ...

Re: Feeling Lost and Stuck - appreciate your advice

Hi Sunnyday, Why don't you pop down to Neal's Yard on Northcote Road. I would be very happy to work with you and see how we can move you out of this rut . I use coaching, hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) and am in clinic every Monday evening. Alternatively Sha, who I would also...

Re: Great swimming classes for children

Falconmum, I never came back to you! Sorry. Balham is working well on a 2:1 basis weekly and the kids’ teacher, Simon, is absolutely fab. We ended up with a Sunday afternoon slot but that works well for us and it is much cheaper than a 4:1 class with SWSS if more expensive than the larger group clas...

Re: Spar on Northcote Road closes Wednesday

No way!! Gutted!
I use him all the time!

Oh I am so sad to see this. I know that places have to change but I'm starting to get heartily sick of losing all the lovely little shops and newsagents.

Re: Thurleah road - any luck getting into Belleville or Honeywell?

I imagine that the catchments BTC are just going to get larger and larger as the house prices very close to the school have become too highly priced for most new families or younger couples hoping to have children in the future. There are not many people with little children looking to spend in exce...

Re: Great swimming classes for children

Sorry Falconmum I've only just seen this. We did South West Swim School with my oldest for years but the price for 3 is utterly prohibitive! So, the oldest is now at Leander (she got through the trial by the skin of her teeth!!) and the youngest two are about to start at Balham Leisure Centre 2:1 le...

Great swimming classes for children

Afternoon all, Having been guilty in the past of being fairly vocal when I get bad service or a shoddy kids class I thought that I would post about a new local swim school which I found to be absolutely brilliant. They run swim camps as such, so clinics over a week in the holidays and the next one t...

Re: Trinity Restaurant to open new restaurant on Bellevue Road

Yes, and it is very good indeed.
The staff are also lovely and pulling out all the stops to get the business launched. Well worth a visit.
