Is anyone else feeling really fed up with the state of things right now?

I cannot be the only one just feeling utterly sick of the state of politics and social funding right now. There are more and more people living in tents across London (the councils issue these instead of council housing now it seems), huge numbers of children are homeless and living in hostels, Food...

Re: Manifesto Pizza

Oh we love Manifesto.
Best pizza locally and lovely staff.
They’ve even given us freshly baked sourdough bread to take home on a couple of occasions.
Very laid back in there too which is nice.

Re: Residents asked if they want lorries banned from Magdalen Road

Are you actually kidding me??? So where do the lorries now go?
Burntwood Lane and Earlsfield Road. Shall we have a ban too and then they'll just have to fly over?
Or are there counsellors living on Magdalene Road who will happily see the rest of us take up the slack on the lorries on their behalf?

Re: Great swimming classes for children

Just a quick note (on my own thread!! 😂) to say that my 3 have just completed the KSC Easter clinic and yet again have absolutely loved it. The oldest had been struggling with fly but is now feeling far, far more confident and the younger two have come on in leaps and bounds again. The teachers are ...

Re: Residents asked if they want lorries banned from Magdalen Road

Ok, so I’m confused.
Why should the residents of Magdalene Road get to shove the heavy traffic onto Burntwood Lane and Earlsfield Road?
Surely we should all be sharing this?

Re: Can anyone recommend a good Easter /Summer holiday Wandsworth Test camp?

Thanks Katherine,

That sounds like just what we are after. Sadly we'll miss the Belleville (daughter is at Belleville) one but will probably book in for the later one at Ravenstone. Thanks.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good Easter /Summer holiday Wandsworth Test camp?

Hi Rachel,

That is great.
Is this appropriate for the Wandsworth Test though? We are not aiming for an independent school 11+ test.

TIA

Can anyone recommend a good Easter /Summer holiday Wandsworth Test camp?

Hi there,

I'm looking for recommendations for any Easter or Summer (or both) camps that prepare children for the Wandsworth Test in October.

Thanks in advance

I went to Postmark in Balham!
They still have a good selection of huge, really gorgeous ones.
Happy kids and happy me 😍

Ahhh I might have found a place in Balham.

We love the old-school, glittery, gorgeous calendars 😃

Non-chocolate advent calendars - where????

Ummm...ok...it’s the 1st tomorrow and I’m running a bit late on this.

However, since Between the Lines has gone I can’t find anywhere to buy really nice advent calendars. That aren’t just the chocolate ones.

Anyone know of anywhere?

Thanks much x

Re: Looking for a place to stop en route to Cornwall

We tend to stop at Montacute House (National Trust) for a run around and a play on the swings. It's lovely and they have ice-cream!
Barrington Court is another option.
Enjoy.

Re: Springfield - loss of golf - please give your feedback

I couldn't agree more. And considering the opposition when the plans first went in it was absolutely shocking that it got the go ahead. So many kids go there and no, not all kids want to play either football or rugby - both of which are already very well catered for close by. I can only assume that ...

Re: Feeling Lost and Stuck - appreciate your advice

Hi Sunnyday, Why don't you pop down to Neal's Yard on Northcote Road. I would be very happy to work with you and see how we can move you out of this rut . I use coaching, hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) and am in clinic every Monday evening. Alternatively Sha, who I would also...

Re: Great swimming classes for children

Falconmum, I never came back to you! Sorry. Balham is working well on a 2:1 basis weekly and the kids’ teacher, Simon, is absolutely fab. We ended up with a Sunday afternoon slot but that works well for us and it is much cheaper than a 4:1 class with SWSS if more expensive than the larger group clas...
