Re: Neurodiverse Teenage Girls

Hi Asd123,

Maybe if there are no local groups we can just see who wants to join in and create something ourselves?

Anyone else?

ASD / ADHD teenage girls who need other quirky, kind friends?

Re: cranial osteopath for babies

Huge thumbs up for Laura Tilson and her team at Laura Tilson Osteopathy. She works wonders with many of my clients and has clinics on both Battersea Rise and over in Surbiton.

Re: Honeywell, Holy Ghost or Belleville?

Having had 3 kids go through Belleville I can highly recommend it. It is also a feeder school for Bolingbroke Academy which is great. I would always recommend going to visit the schools during their open mornings though and just ask loads of questions from the parents showing you around. You'll soon...

Re: Neurodiverse Teenage Girls - Meet ups

Hi there, I'm just dropping into this older post to see if any of you found any great ASD meet ups for teenage girls in the area. My daughter is 14 and would love to meet other girls of her age who are also high-functioning neurodivergent. Sadly she is the only girl in her year at school so is feeli...

Re: I want to have an elective caesarean for my current birth.

Absolutely what Goldhawk just said.  Thank them for their recommendation and then just ask them how you get your caesarean booked in. It is your choice as to how you give birth and you do not have to give reasons or explanations over and over again to anyone. Of course there are benefits and risks t...

Re: Partner back smoking after angina attacks, how can I get him to stop?

Does he actually want to quit but is highly addicted? Or is he still enjoying this habit? Odd question I appreciate but it makes a huge difference as to how you treat it. If he does actually want to quit but is struggling then send him to a hypnotherapist: https://www.melaniebearne.com/ If he is enj...

Re: Is it time to ban 4x4s?

Yes, I think it is time we overhauled the rules on SUV use in cities. 2 eight year old girls have died. Their families devastated. It's simply awful. Inexcusable. It is a slow road around the front of the school, the sheer weight and power of that Land Rover took it through a metal fence, across a g...

Re: Out of control schoolchildren on St Johns Road

Homemaker you clearly have some problems here. But problems and opinions are rarely facts. Bolingbroke has a feeder system from the local primary schools. Falconbrook is only behind Clapham Junction and still in the SW11 postcode. It is a local school. Belleville and Honeywell have fed children into...

Re: Out of control schoolchildren on St Johns Road

What a peculiar thing to say Homemaker: 'This school has been political since it first opened 10 years ago and a group of champagne socialists stopped it being made available for catchment area children & opened it up to children who aren’t local, or respectful within our community. They travel ...

Re: Out of control schoolchildren on St Johns Road

I saw this group of kids last week on Northcote. They were being generally abusive and just looked as though they were looking for trouble. The thing is that they weren't in Bolingbroke Uniform but another uniform that I didn't recognise. It was the wrong colour for Putney Ark also. My daughter and ...

Re: Advice needed on SEN support Secondary school please

I'm not sure if it will be of help to you geographically Susies, but I can confirm that our ASD child is very well accommodated and educated at The Bolingbroke Academy. It is also a co-ed and an all round great school with excellent teachers and SEN team.
