Re: Madrid or Barcelona? Any suggestions much appreciated.

Madrid is great.  Been there many times for the tennis tournament in May.  Stay in the centre near Retiro Park for the best access to restaurants, bars, clubs etc.  Not as hectic as Barcelona but it is a stay out late city, with dining from 9pm often 10pm.  Lots of cultural things to do and see too.

Re: Summer holiday resort with good tennis classes

Neilson's, Mark Warner offer good programmes for all of you.  I'm assuming you're not looking for a High Performance camp.  To be honest, pretty much every tennis club in Europe will run some sort of Junior Tennis Camp, so if an all inclusive programme like Mark Warner doesn't appeal, you could find...

Dunlop also offer a fantastic range of Padel bats, and I will be taking orders for them, with the same discount!

Re: Witnessed mugging - how much force is reasonable?

"Reasonable" change that to "Appropriate".  For instance what you could do to defend yourself against a knife attack would be completely different to say, detaining a shop lifter.  What is your objective?  To detain a mugger? Then using an arm lock would, I would argue, be totall...

Re: Good resort for late Easter skiing?

Literally everywhere in the Alps and Scandinavia is having amazing snow conditions right now.  Only the Balkans have missed out.  If you're really geeky about weather/snow conditions, research what El Nino seasons are like.  It's absolutely not 100% reliable but it is a useful guide to what to expec...
