Re: underarm hair in a 7 year old girl

I understand why you feel you ought to get rid of it but it saddens me so much that at such an early age your daughter will be taught that in order to fit in she must conform to the stereotypical image of a woman. If this were a boy with a bit of hair across his top lip would you feel the need to re...

I don't need them myself but just wanted to say what a lovely, and kind, thing to do.

Re: Where to get a spray tan

I went to spray tan angels following a recommendation on here and I'm sorry to say it was the worst spray tan I have ever had (or seen on anyone else). I had streaks all over and blotches even on the palms of my hands.
Avoid at all costs, it's not worth the risk.

Floor sanding

Any recommendations for companies/sole traders to sand floors? Presume they'll need oiling or waxing too.

Re: Husband has visited escort- advice please

This may just be a bit too out there but surely when it comes to sex we should at least consider that individuals are likely to have different desires? I don't just mean how often we like it, although that's important too, but in what style. I'm not forgiving anyone who strays but don't want to judg...

Re: Suddenly Single in Nappy Valley - playdates, coffee, etc

Hi there, I'm not single so can't help in response to your actual post. However I just wanted to offer a virtual hug as it were and say I hope you get some responses soon. It must feel like an impossible situation at the moment but I hope in time you will settle into this new chapter of your life an...

Re: Best mobile network for reception between the commons?

If you'd asked a week ago I would've said that EE works great however after 7 years without ever once losing the signal in my house over the last week
I've had none at all. According to EE's coverage checker there's no issue in the area so they're not acknowledging it!

Re: Go Ape vs Adventure playground

I wonder if the writer of the Guardian article has actually been as I cannot relate to it at all. I was there just the other day and my children played for hours in the adventure playground. Whilst occasionally we noticed someone climbing above them within the trees it didn't effect their play in th...

E-Cigs/ Vaping??

For ages I've been asking my husband to stop smoking and he is now starting to think with the help of an E-Cigarette he could do it! So wanting to jump on this opportunity I thought I'd buy him one to try asap! Initially I'd rather not buy an expensive kit but instead a disposable one from behind th...

Re: Neighbour extending / party wall being ignored

Hi Poppet, have a look at Part 3 of the attached especially point 34 on p.24 https://www.gov.uk/guidance/party-wall-etc-act-1996-guidance I suspect they are incorrect about not needing planning permission as even though the return is less than 3metres wide it'll probably be over 3metres long, this m...
