Re: best non aggressive way to confront a shouty neighbour

First of all, well done for taking this issue seriously and posting to get advice on this difficult matter. As a safeguarding officer, I would definitely encourage you to record and report to the police. It is everyone's duty to help protect children from harm, as they are too vulnerable to do so th...

Re: Steiner School Balham - looking for feedback

I would echo some of the concerns from the previous post - I would think twice before enrolling my children in Steiner (and I live next door!) and would strongly recommend visiting before committing. The UK system, while having children start early, does focus on learning through play in Reception, ...

Re: Aupair pay in SW London

Hi,
I think au pairs can expect about 100 to 120 a week for 25-30 hours and up to two babysitting nights. Some families pay for oyster too.
Good luck!

Re: indigo little Dentist - anyone been ?

I had the mouth guard thing done to me too! On top of being seen late, being talked to in an insincere and patronising way, not being told about "hidden" costs, etc.
I'm glad to find out I wasn't the only one. Am also a satisfied customer of ten dental now.

Re: Have you used Koru Kids?

We used Koru kids for short term help. They did come up with a lovely (albeit completely inexperienced - I had to explain how to run a bath for the children) candidate. I was however shocked when I found out the nannies only get £8.50 per hour when the agency gets £12. I thought that really was not ...

Farmdrop - any good?

Hi everyone,
a friend recommended Farmdrop to me yesterday. Has anyone tried it? Any opinions quality wise compared to Riverford et al?
I do like the idea of fresh products and farmers getting a fairer share, so would love some feedback.
Thanks!

Re: Electrician recommendation

Many thanks for this recommandation, and in turn very happy to recommend Tom. He was both pleasant and very efficient. He changed our outdated fuse box as well as lots of outstanding bits and pièces in our house, all in a day with a big smile.

Best places for these questions are the dedicated fb groups "mamans a londres" and "maman au uk". Both really useful.
Bonne chance !
