Re: Independent advice for laser eye surgery

I also went to David Garfield at Moorfields and it was the best money I ever spent. So communicative so I felt safe and haven’t had any problems since. I had it done at least 15 years ago. Highly recommend him

Re: Criminal Record - DBS check

You don't have to apply through the school. You used to be able to go into your local police station and fill out a form that way. It takes a few weeks for it to come back but that way you could find out yourself and then present the DBS certificate if it comes back clean. The school will be non the...

Re: Please can anyone recommend a counsellor?

I would go weekly if you can afford it so you focus on it. The counsellor will have an opinion too.

The first session is pretty light about why you are there and then the logistics and what you hope to achieve.

Re: Keeping nanny whilst on maternity leave

I did this. I had the rule that only one person can be in charge at any one time so kids didn't play us off against each other. What was great is that first born was able to keep to her schedule and go to all her clubs etc so her life was less impacted. I think it really helped. I would look after t...

Re: Just got an offer last minute from Macauley School in Lambeth. Any thoughts on this school?

I would accept the place and then you have until Weds to have a look around before you forfeit another terms fees at Dolphin. Is it local to you? Think about the practicalities of getting there etc. If there is another school closer that you prefer you could always hang on and there is quite a lot o...

Re: Dying cancer patient refused her morphine, laughed at and then treated appallingly

I am so sorry that you have had such a terrible time. I would ask you what you think you are going to gain from going to the media? The NHS PR machine will kick in and you probably still won't get the answers you are looking for. If I were you, I would start to think about you and allow yourself to ...

Re: ADVICE NEEDED! 4 year old still in nappies

You are in such a tricky position and I think you are going to cause more conflict by getting involved. Once the little girl starts school, it is expected that they are completely potty trained and can wash their hands on their own so the school will bring it up with the parents. They will also ban ...
