Re: URGENT - NANNY NEEDED JUST TO COVER WEEK 29 OCTOBER !

www.katienanny.co.uk Katie specialises in ad hoc placements and is a natural with children. If you’re still looking for a nanny to cover that week she may have availability. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to my bosses to have her care for my charges in the event of me being ill or on holiday -...

Re: Styling girl's hair

Hi Mary-in-Earlsfield and calliwally, I'm a nanny of nearly ten years who has been styling little girls' hair my entire career. I am quite fondly remembered among my charges for my braiding skills, even the teenage ones (we went through The Braid Book together!). I'd be happy to come and teach a sma...

Re: Paying for childcare cash in hand - what's the view?

It's illegal and the nanny should turn down the job. I had an experience via a very well known London nanny agency whereby they tell nannies that parents try to do this and not to accept it. I had many interviews with them and found what I thought was the perfect fit. The family then tried to pay me...

One has been opened (we realised our curtains wouldn't go with them), the other is in its original packaging.

Collection from SW11, The Latchmere.

Re: Can anyone recommend a Night Nurse?

Do you mean a night nanny or do you need someone with medical training? Helen at TopBabyGuru is excellent. I know she's quite busy but she may be able to give you a personal recommendation of someone she trusts to help out instead. Good luck :)

Re: Au pair agency

They have a fairly good reputation as far as agencies go, and the fee is quite normal for a nanny agency. Not so sure about the standard charge for placing an au pair though.

Re: average pay rates for nannies and questions

Happy New Year :) - The going rate in this area is around £10 an hour AFTER tax. Employers set the rate they are prepared to pay and interested nannies apply, nannies do not charge a family. We also do not differentiate between families with one child, or six children. - As a nanny employer you will...

Re: OFSTED reg Montessori nanny available Jan

I would absolutely consider after school care only, however it would depend on the overall number of hours, salary, and responsibilities. Also, whether you would need me for full days in the school holidays.

Please feel free to drop me a message to discuss your requirements.

Re: Air Bnb or Homestay? Safe to do with children?

From my experience with AirBnB that's not really how it works. The whole point is to "live like a local" so by essentially making the entire house out of bounds it'll come accross as unwelcoming and earn you bad reviews. Similarly, just because someone has a verified ID does not vouch for ...

Re: RANT: Nanny No-Show for Interview

You're absolutely right gail0810, courtesy goes both ways, and I have been on the end of "we'll let you know at the end of the week" and have never heard from the family again!

I really can't understand why you wouldn't show up for an interview. Glad you've found someone good kcbh27 :)
