Re: Children of London Photo Book

we did this a few years and it was exactly as described above. we got some really great pics of the kids in a london park, i’d say a bit different in style to what I’ve seen elsewhere, more artistic and characterful, great quality shots but yes, it was a slightly awkward hour or so under pressure to...

Re: Child tooth extraction for orthondontics

my daughter had 6 out in one go with injections at a nhs dentist. that was not the best experience but more the fact they did so many than needing gas. there just wasn’t much tlc in the process. I felt awful in hindsight. she then had 2 out at glow, again with just anesthetic but it was a much nicer...

Re: Getting rid of EHCP

the reality is local authority don’t know what is happening as school recommends it continues each year and are not incentivised to lose funding. seems a fundamental flaw to me. we have review coming up. thanks for taking time to reply!

Getting rid of EHCP

Has anyone successfully got rid of a EHCP where it is no longer needed, child would not qualify but school wants to keep the funding? I don’t want to have to call the council but if school don’t agree it could be tricky.

Re: Tips for luxury Med resort?

I’d take a look at the website tots too. It sets out all of the big luxury resorts with pros and cons etc, the kind of stuff that would not be obvious from slick websites.

Child psychologist/ therapist for 6 year old

Can anyone recommend a psychologist or therapist for a 6 year old? We are considering whether our son needs to see someone. He has a complex medical background which we think is probably contributing to recent behavioural stuff. It is hard to know what we actually need without having an initial chat...

Re: Electric car charging point fitter recommendations

Our neighbours have a hybrid and they just run a large cable from the door to the car ie they seem to manage it with front door closed. Not sure if that is specific to a hybrid?

Re: To Use or Not to Use the Same Names as Friends

We named our child same as husband’s best man who at the time lived in Sydney. The children are 4 years apart and never going to be in the same school/ group etc. I thought it was a big deal and insisted he ask his friend. The third make frequent in their group had also used the same name for a chil...

Re: Ears pinned back advice

Hello, I have a fair bit of experience of ear issues. Had my own ears pinned back at the age of 30! Really wished I’d had them done when I was younger but I didn’t have the confidence to ask my parents sadly. My best friend had much worse ears and had hers done about 12 and it really did change her ...

Re: Looking for Speech Therapist for baby feeding difficulties

I can highly recommend Annalou Low. She saw my son as a baby for weaning/swallowing issues and also a bit later on for speech (he had NG feeding tube, unsafe swallow, tracheostomy so it was quite challenging). She was really helpful in guiding me on weaning and has a really good manner with children...
