Re: Homepath recommendation?

PilatesQueen, it is not our "opinion" it is a fact. Scientifically proven again and again. The National Health and Medical Research Council in Australia and the FDA in America have both made announcements on this recently. In fact, the FDA will soon require that will require that homeopath...

Our first au pair - advice

Hi, We both work full time and have two children, who are both currently happy in nursery. The eldest is starting school in September, so we are struggling with school drop off and pick up. We looked into a nanny, but it was too expensive, so are currently in the process of finding an au pair. I wou...

Re: 1 hour commute?

We moved from Balham to a village outside Guildford; there's a handful of pretty villages like Shalford, Bramley, Wonersh, Shamley Green etc within a ten minute drive of Guildford. A fast train is 32 mins to Waterloo. I think trains to CJ are about 40 mins at peak times. Docking is also lovely, and ...

Re: Casement/Any window replacement - any recs?

We used sashwindowspecialist.co.uk to replace all of our casement windows with hardwood double glazed casements. They were made to match our old windows and were made in Guildford. I wanted everything done quickly as we have a baby, and made this clear when I got the quote. They had 7 guys on site s...

Re: Any Mac experts out there

We got a MacBookPro and I hate it. None of the keyboard shortcuts I use for Word, Excel, etc work on it. I really just use it for Office and the internet so it's a total pain and a waste of money.

Re: How much to pay our nanny for an overnight babysit?

I think it depends how much she will have to do in the night (do the kids sleep through?) and what time they get up in the morning.

Re: 38 weeks pregnant and fell over!!!!

You poor thing. I fell over at 36 weeks getting out of the bath. You get a fright as much as anything. I would pop to the hospital for a quick check; they are so lovely and would prefer mummies to pop in with any worries. I would phone the maternity ward first so they are expecting you. Don't go to ...
