Hi, I’ve seen loads of recommendations for sash window replacements so will follow up with them later. We are moving to a double fronted house on the heaver estate and the windows are in a bad state of affairs. I wonder is there anyone on this site who could help me with some advance planning. - do ...

Re: Shocking footage of van ramming into car on Battersea Park Road

Regardless of how aggressive the other driver was there is never justification for ramming a car like that. He could of just let them drive off or drive off himself - very scary that it actually came to this!

Re: Lent money to Brother-in-law - not paying back - help please

Sorry but I agree with your husband, I don’t think you should get involved as otherwise you just risk your husbands family turning against you. We have in the past lent money to my brother/sister and at times my husband used to enquire re when they would pay it back but I insisted that I be the one ...

Re: Full House refurb

I’ve done bathrooms, kitchen, window replacements & lofts before. The reason I would take it on is because I like the house, location & garden.

Re: Mother attacked for Rolex as her children run screaming for help

Star, I have lived in London for 15+ years and I would never of felt unsafe no mater what I wore. As you said it may not be the norm in Naples or Paris to wear expensive jewellery but I think most people I know in London would never question wearing their good stuff. I think the main point is we wan...

Re: Mother attacked for Rolex as her children run screaming for help

Bathtub what a response, I don’t care if her watch was worth 100K it’s her right to wear it where she likes without having someone attack her for it! I don’t believe these people are desperate just plan old criminals. I would vote for low income families getting more help from the government but not...

Re: Wife refuses to stop spending so much - help

Coming from a stay at home mum who used to have a career and was paid well. It’s time to sit her down and ensure she understands the financials. Does she know exactly how much you earn Vs. The outgoings mortgage/school fees. Finances need to be an agreed thing in order for a household to work out, y...

Re: Bay window shutters: 1:2:1 or 2:4:2

We’ve recently changed our old 2-4-2 to 1-2-1 and when closed and the louvres are open a lot more light comes in. Would definitely choose 1-2-1 again. I don’t know the bottom ones much but the top middle ones are nearly always open and it doesn’t really make a difference that the side windows are bl...

Re: Energy overpaying- knocking on door

We had the same about 2 weeks ago, but there was a young guy with the girl. They mentioned something about over paying for energy but I sent them off. They then came back to my neighbours a few hours later, they did say they worked for money or something like that didn’t really pay much a...

Re: Chances to get into a nursery??

I’m sure you’ll get an afternoon place in most places and if you phone around now there may be some morning places freed up by people who have just got state school places in nursery. I’d get on the phone on Monday.
