Re: Best all round multivitamin for women?

Don’t waste your money, there is research to show that multivitamins are a waste of money at best. Worst case, you will be exposed to too high levels in some cases way beyond recommended dose. Apart from vitamin D, I would not consider any supplements. It’s proven that a healthy balanced diet will g...

Re: Emmanuel school

What are people supposed to do? The school secondary school situation seems ridiculous! And I’m dreading it, will Have to tackle this soon and dread it! Re: Husband's financial deceit means son now can't go to private school

The question for me is what did it spend it on? That makes a massive difference. If it was in order to keep up with your bills and a certain lifestyle expectation and an attempt to shield you and do his best then I would have sympathy. It it’s irresponsible overspending to fund a habit (?), gambling...

Re: Equity release - bit grumpy brother is suggesting it

I think there’s nothing uglier than when children try to get money out of their parents like this...fighting about their presumed share. It’s their money and they need to do what’s best for them and their situation not for you or your brother. I hope you and your brother have taken into account the ...

Re: Clapham Common playground - a disgrace

Great news some funding has been made available, hopefully it’s enough. For inspiration, a trip to the main Battersea park playground or Wandsworth common playground should do. Scandi playground equipment is the best! (As for completely irrelevant comments about how much worse a playground can be......

Re: Clapham Common playground - a disgrace

Thank you smh*3 Chorister, Do you not like children? Does it enrage you so much that the expectation of a working playground for our children puts you in a “fit of irritation”??? There is NO way that there could not have been funds in the last 12 years that I’ve known of the playground. It’s misuse ...

Clapham Common playground - a disgrace

2BB6D666-B326-4038-AFE9-2778E540E9E0.jpeg Was there not a petition a while back regarding the main playground on Clapham Common? Does anyone know if it got anywhere? The state of the playground isn’t an absolute disgrace. It needs to be completely revamped and redone. Last week there were loads of ...

Re: Granny obsessed with granddaughter!

Tell her exactly how you feel. If you can’t manage it, prepare something you can refer back to or even give her a note or text her. Let it out and let her reflect and reply. It’s not OK to make you feel guilty about your choices or parenting. It’s also not OK to turn up with OTT gifts constantly. SE...

Re: Knife arches will be in place at schools over next two weeks after spate of violent crime

Not enough to have short term measures. We need police to be present and have the right to stop and search extended in any area where violence a problem. I’m so fed up I would prefer to see the army on the streets to clean up this ****. Go into the estates, get the knives off the kids. Tackle the dr...

Re: Home schooling

Home schooling is a big responsibility and you need to be informed about what’s expected if you already are doing it. There are forums and groups you should be able to find online. You should read the curriculum and what’s expected for each stage in KS1. Then you have the freedom to do it in a more ...

Re: Should curtains be this expensive?

Does it have to be made to measure?
If you look around you can get lucky and find a near perfect match.
Or try to reduce costs by doing half maybe.
I thought I had to do made to measure for my loft space and ended up finding something that fits so perfectly it looks like it was MTM.

Re: Brilliant idea to reduce waste and lower cost of giving gifts at childrens’ birthdays - Fiver parties – anyone tried

You can buy blank cards and envelopes, kids can wire and decorate them but much nicer than using a regular A4. I never buy individual cards anymore for parties, we get a massive box with a selection online at the fraction of the price and the cards are lovely. For parties, I never give any tat, only...
