Re: Difference between private and state

Almost everyone tutors in Year 6, state or indy. The stakes are too high. The only people who don't, and they will loudly tell you they don't, are SAHM with degrees in a million subjects who are as good as a tutor and so in effect they are. A head of an indy school will ALWAYS say not to tutor, othe...

Re: Difference between private and state

Yes but you have to remember we are in a weird bubble round here.

There is a massive baby boom pushing through at the moment, there are not enough secondary schools and so it's become insanely competitive even for a relatively "normal" school.

Everyone is tutored.

Its depressing!

Re: Emmanuel School...

What about comparing results with Streatham and Clapham. They are a more all round local school (like Emanuel) . I think its a very interesting post, discussion and a polite one too :D Private schools fees are expensive and I agree that you do want to know that you are getting value for money in all...

Re: best clothing catalogues?

The White Company is one of my favourites.

It's very mix and match and also easily dressed up or down. Really good for travelling. :) Happy shopping x

Cap to bankers salary

Hi
I am not very up on business news but I heard today that there is going to be a cap on bankers salary up to one times salary.

Doesn't that mean that many bankers will get a massive pay cut or am I being naiive?
