Re: Pub suitable for toddlers?

Slightly off topic, but the County Arms on Trinity Road goes out of its way to entertain Toddlers and bigger kids on Sundays from about 100pm. Put a call into them to get exact timings, but we went there for Sunday lunch recently, and the kids (5 and 3) loved the entertainment so much, we stayed 1.5...

Baby changing table - GBP20

Hi all We have a baby changing table for sale - it's assembled, is from John Lewis, and is about 4 years old. It's in very good condition - offered as seen for GBP20. I have attached a link below, which is to the equivalent version of the table which John Lewis is currently selling. The look of our ...

Re: Need a recommendation for a washing machine service

I also recommend Dan. I got his details from this thread and he has just finished a job for me - he did a good job. He's a nice guy, very respectful, clean and tidy and diligent. I asked him whether he got much work from NappyValleyNet - his answer - "No, because most of the people who use it have G...

Re: Douglas & Gordon - Bad experience

Thanks all for the responses. Needless to say, we will be taking this all the way if needs be. We really hope that they will try to settle this in advance of arbitration and we are making efforts to do this. Thanks for taking time to feed back...!

Douglas & Gordon - Bad experience

Hi all - we're having a terrible experience with Douglas & Gordon presently - we recently moved out of a house between the commons and they are witholding one third of our deposit - charging us for ridiculous damage such as three coffee rings being left on a worktop (GBP 20) and GBP 30 for a dishwas...

Douglas & Gordon - Bad experience

Has anyone else had a bad experience with D&G...? We have just moved out of a property let by and managed by them. Not only did they enter the property on three separate occasions without our consent, they are now trying to charge us an outrageous amount for minor issues with the house on check-out....

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

I'm pretty sure that this is going to go down like a lead balloon, but Maplin Electronics is opening up where Currys used to be on St John's Road. Great news for rioters, you'd think. Don't be so sure - the planning application on Wandsworth's website alludes to a pretty impregnable exterior of brus...

Re: Northcote Road - The Burger Wars!!!

The Draught House on Northcote Road is, in my opinion, does the best burger on Northcote Road. Try their bacon and cheese burger - it's incredible. They are great with kids as well, 'though this may change if it becomes kids central. Agree with the above - Byron is underwhleming... plus, call me a p...

German Babysitter

We are looking for a German babysitter to mind our kids for a couple of hours each weekend. We'd like the babysitter to speak German to our daughters during this time. We'd like a native German person and we'd consider someone a mature secondary school student as well as a college student. If anyone...

Re: Girls' Soccer - Clapham/ Wandsworth Common

Thanks all - with five expressions of interest, and with recently turned 5 and 3 year olds myself, I think we're getting there. I wont organise anything this weekend, but will try to organise something for next weekend. I will send you a private message when I do. Thanks all and have a lovely Easter...

Re: Girls' Soccer - Clapham/ Wandsworth Common

Thanks both. We moved back to London from New York about 6 months ago, and soccer is more of a girls sport over there than a boys sport. It would be great to get something going. There is not a lot of other interest, but I intend to post again after Easter, as I think a lot of people will be away th...

Girls' Soccer - Clapham/ Wandsworth Common

Hi all - I have a 5 year old daughter, who loves soccer, but who has found Broomwood soccer "too boyish". I know what she means. She spent the first 4/5 weeks of the soccer year making daisy chains whilst the boys chased the ball around the field. My daughter loves soccer, though... so I'd love her ...
