Re: Farrow & ball or Dulux Endurance paint?

The other thing you can do is use any emulsion paint and you can get F & B paints made up by other paint shops. To protect it put on a dead flat water based varnish from Polyvine (you can put it on top of wall papers as well). It is very quick to apply and goes a long way. There is a paint shop ...

Re: Streatham / Streatham Hill

We have lived in Telford Park/Streatham Hill for nine years now having moved from Earlsfield. We love it here, transport is brilliant, there is a bus garage at the end of Telford Avenue, over ground Train station at Streatham Hill and Brixton tube station (Victoria line) a 5/10 minute bus journey aw...

Re: london bus tours - recommendations?

The big red bus tour is very good, as there are lots of them so you don't have to wait too long for one to come along if you want to get off at some of the stops. Golden tours is not as good.
You must get on the river boat from the Tower of London as it's included in the tour.
Enjoy it's great fun.

Re: Thomas / Eaton Manor house / Emanuel School

Good luck with deciding which school, unfortunately it is you who is going to have to make the decision and I'm not sure that it helps comparing the schools to TV programs and talk about primarily dismissing the lot of them and how wrongly they were described. You will always find people who slag of...

Re: Honesty required from mums with 2 children

If you can and are lucky enough to be able to have two children, go for it. My daughters are 16 and 14 now, so the baby stage seems such a long way away now. I was incredible lucky that my eldest daughter who is only 21 months older than her younger sister was fascinated by babies & was not jeal...

Re: Piano tuner

I've used John Brereton for 8 years now and would highly recommend him. His number is 07808 745372 and he charges £45 and takes around an hour to tune your piano.

Re: Ravensbury Road, Earlsfield

I used to live in Earlsfied and it's a wonderful place to live. I lived there for 9 years and loved it. My two girls were born there & there are lots of playgroups & schools in the area. You won't regret it.

Re: When do I need to apply/register for nurseries?

I may be wrong but if your looking for a nursery school rather than day care, should you not wait until the baby is born? Do they not need a date of birth & name of the baby to be able to put it on a list.

Re: Foxy troubles

I had a problem with a fox in our garden a few years ago. It use to sit in the same corner of our garden, admittedly it wasn't in good health. After many phone calls I spoke to a man who advised me to lay Holly in the area it liked to sit. He also said to get one of those large pump water guns as th...
