i woukd try the commute with your kids at peak travel hour (which is when you would have to get on the train). I personally found it horrendous and we ended up going to a school walking distance from your house. I really enjoy the walk to and from school and love bumping into friends and walking hom...
Having been through the 11+ London school process a couple of times now I wish I had chosen a school that goes all the way until 18. You don't necessarily have to stay onto the senior school - but you can approach the 11+ process feeling more relaxed as you have an option ! The only criticism I have...
Quick question....is Carole Jenkins going to be the headmistress of the lower school, the upper school and also of the new senior school? And is this temporary or for good? Thanks!
Its probably not the kind of advice you are after... but my advice is take the other place and forget the Assessment farce at Thomas' ! If you look at their results they really are no better than any of the other local schools and I do find it a bit annoying that they are the only school that offer ...
Am currently doing some research into prep schools in the area and thought this might be of interest to some ? If its not please ignore ! http://www.bestprepschools.co.uk/League-Tables.asp I was just surprised as I keep hearing how Thomas' is the most academic of the prep schools in the area, but th...

BeeandBels ... I am disgusted at the last 2 posts not at you !! You asked a simple question and you are entitled to a simple answer without having to defend yourself for your decision. I am sure you pay your taxes and as such your children are entitled to free education. If your circumstances change...
Such a shame as it was a lovely shop ! I really hope that the owners re-opens somewhere else. And I also hope that the greedy landlord is taught a lesson and his shops remains empty for a long time....
It really isn't simple so please ignore the comment about you needing a handyman to do this. I spent 4 hours building this kitchen last Christmas ... and I would not hesitate to get a handyman to do it for me if I ever had to do it again !!! But yes I agree with one of the previous posters - i...

Well said kiwimummy. What an unnecessary post supergirl. And very Mumsnet response which is why by the way I stay well clear of Mumsnet! Absolutely nothing wrong with asking to use the loo in a restaurant/bar / coffee shop ! I do it all the time (mainly for me....not just my kids!!! Although sometim...
