Re: School fees for next term

Just to address your suggestion about staff cuts and costs: teachers are currently working on overdrive to provide a remote education for children. I know it’s hard for parents to deliver this but there is no other option right now. Teachers have never been tested so much and have never worked so ha...

Re: School fees for next term

Please do not think that because school buildings are not open that there is a reduction in service- teachers are working double-time to ensure lesson provisions are ready for parents, training for online platforms and receiving, marking and sending work back to ensure that children’s education can ...

Re: Recommendation for someone who can do Ironing for me?

I recommend SW ironing too. They are brilliant- they charge by the bagful and return everything the next day beautifully pressed, hung / folded and reasonably priced

Re: Not happy families at the Bolingbroke on Northcote

I’ve only ever had a positive experience at the Boli- whether with family and small children or with friends on a night out.
I’m not a fan of smoking but I don’t think you can complain about people smoking outside surely...?

Re: Not happy families at the Bolingbroke on Northcote

I am a huge fan of the Bolingbroke because they are so welcoming to all, including families. Food is excellent, service is excellent. The no kids past 8 is clearly stated on their booking page. It is a pub with great food rather than a restaurant but still a pub with licensing regulations. I remembe...

Re: Baby Room Nursery / Webb's road - any experiences?

We enjoyed 3 happy years there- but that was a few years back and I understand from a current parent that it has changed in the last year or so. I loved the small environment and always felt the children were loved. My LO couldn’t have had a better start.

Re: Mother attacked for Rolex as her children run screaming for help

Wow. Racist much? Why are some people on here assuming that poverty as the reason this happened and thereby giving them some sense of justification? I don't see it like that at all. Nobody in the UK is that poor! These well-builtand healthy looking guys are clearly not starving and so desperate tha...

Re: Mother attacked for Rolex as her children run screaming for help

Nope, I've been here for a while, and probably longer than you, Parsley. I didn't say she deserved it. I'm saying she's an idiot for wearing a £10k watch and not worrying about the consequences. I, and my husband, both work hard but it would never occur to me to purchase such a decadent waste of mo...
