Re: Recommendation for Exterior Decorator - 2 front doors

Hi Abbevillelocal If you're simply wanting the existing door gently sanded down a little and adding a new coat of paint, likewise the same to the surrounding wood, it's a fairly simple job that shouldn't take too long. Somewhere between 1 to 1.5 days dependant on paint drying time (water based will ...

Re: Moscow State Circus

Clapham South is nearest.
Come out the station and take the second left (The Avenue) - it's about a 5 minute walk

Re: Getting to C&W when I go into labour

When we had our first at C&W parking was easy. Basically you parked in the hospital car park and they gave you a voucher so it only cost you £5 ...mind you that was a few years ago so things may have changed since. At the time they even allowed you to park at the front in the emergency area so h...

cat flap in double glazed glass unit recommendations

Has anyone installed a cat flap in a double glazed unit recently?
I'm aware the unit will need to be replaced but wondering if anyone can recommend a glazer or fitter to do this.
Thanks

Re: Car seats for toddlers on ski holidays?

Depending on their age you could try something like the Trunki Boostapack - that way they can have their own rucksack on the journey and it turns into a car seat for the transfers or for future trips

Re: New Covent Garden market with kids?!

Yes and yes.
I've been several times with my son; just remember to wrap then up warm as it's cold in there.
The earlier the better as there are more stalls.

They sell to the general public; obviously depends what you want whether you can buy single or need to buy a trays worth.

Re: What age is appropriate for going to a football match

Julian et all, I think it's most of us as parents have concerns about the language at football matches. I took my son for his first game when he was 6 (t'was at QPR) and it wasn't too bad. We went in the family enclosure, travelled on the overground from Clapham Junction and not a bad word during ei...

Re: Solar Eclipse question

BBC's Sky at Night magazine was giving them free (£5 for magazine) - but of course may well have sold out by now.

I thought I read somewhere that the welder glasses should be grade 12 and above.

Re: Cyclist injured by Wandsworth Southside

As both a cyclist and driver it's important to try and see things from both sides. It irks me (and probably the genuine cyclist) when I see another cyclist jumping a red traffic light; not having lights on after dark and so on. However Apples4Jam you must be driving somewhere completely different to...
