Re: Petition - school admission system

The issue is so so mch wider than this. Not enough school places, increasing birthrate, global economy situation causing those who went private not to go privte, coupled with mass immigration. The papers say (if to be believed) that in 2018 there will be a shortfall of 200,000 school places!! I am p...

Re: Our primary school is 50 Min away!

I own a house BTC and have decided to send children private. I may or may not have got into HW or BV but I live very very close. On the plus side my house price has gone through the roof in just under two years. So I would say to those who now have to send their children private as just out of catch...

Re: feeling ripped off between the commons

The numbers, if correct are very low. A large portion of these will also be children with medical conditions or in social care and are given priority over local children. Children in social care often move around. Their one stability is the school.

Re: feeling ripped off between the commons

Papian, the numbers they supplied you with don't add up correctly. The total number of siblings is smaller than the amount per metre out. Maybe worth asking them to check the figures unless of course is is counting more than one sibling per family, which in that case is misleading.

Re: Reception Places 2013

Papian- why do you always have to be so hostile to posters? Tedious. The lady is obviously just trying to post about a school and wouldn't expect to have all answers to hand. A lot of people are getting a bit fed up with the constant nastiness on the site. What happened to mums all out there support...

Re: Honeywell or Belleville??

Re: Honeywell or Belleville??

Thanks you townieatheart that is really helpful. My perception (and please comment if you thing is wrong) is that Honeywell is more arty, very friendly, encourages individuality and a little smug?! Whereas Belleville is more academic and structured . Any comments appreciated. Coldatchristmas - I thi...

Honeywell or Belleville??

I am in the very lucky position of likely catchment for these schools. Can parents who have children at these schools let me know what is good and bad about them and if one is better then the other. Any views on Meteor st would be appreciated too.
