Re: Man dead and suspects on the run after Battersea fight

I used to take my son to the lovely nursery there and never had any trouble. It seems that the situation got worse in the last year or two, I can only hope that they caught them and that his death will wake up politicians about the necessity to intervene at the earliest when drug dealing is starting...

Re: abusive relationship?

Hi, I really feel for you and would say one thing: run away from him. You can recreate your cosy home and even better somewhere else! Your energy level may be really low for a few weeks/months, but you will be so much better when you will go over this. It seems that the responsibility you had with y...

Half term activities from 20th February?

Hi,
I am looking for some activities between the 20th and the 24th for my 11 years old daughter.
Most camps take place during the first week, anyone who would have ideas for the second week of half-term?

Many thanks

Re: Wix - Any recent experiences?

Hi, I have two children. One has just left Wix bilingual for the French Lycee and my youngest is in Year 3 bilingual. They have been really happy at Wix and are doing well. The teachers are fully involved and they offer a lot of opportunities to progress. The bilingual stream can be a bit demanding ...

Re: Harris Academy?

This is exactly the feeling I had about the school and it would perfectly suit my daughter. She has been to a bilingual primary school so she also has a place at the French Lycée. She would love to take it, but I am a bit concerned about her socialising there as I am a single working mum. Harris Aca...

Harris Academy?

Hi, I just got the results for secondary schools admissions. My daughter has been offered Harris Academy Battersea. I liked the school at the open days, but would like to read from parents who know it. Anything positive, negative, neutral about Harris Academy in general or the Battersea one especial...

Harris Academy Battersea

Hi,
In the big search for secondary schools, does anyone have any experience about Harris Academy Battersea? It seems that the school has been through a lot of change, so I would be interested in reading from parents' experience there in the last years.

Thanks

La Retraite secondary school opinions please

Hi,
I have just visited La Retraite with my daughter. She was really reluctant about girls schools but is now thinking differently after the viewing... I would like to get a bit of advise about it, the pros and cons.
Thanks

Re: Children Pool Jets party- reviews please

Hi, I also had a bad experience with the pool at the Latchmere leisure centre. The kids loved the waves in the pool but were the first to comment on the smell in the changing rooms and around unfortunately. I also would love to hear feedbacks for a party pool, maybe at tooting leisure centre or Balh...

Re: Do local faith schools demand money from parents?

A few places in these schools are allocated to children who live close to the school and do not depend on their faith. As far as I can remember, I gave whatever I wanted each year, they might have asked for a minimum of £30, so nothing too taxing for a year. The only tricky situation was the first d...
