Re: reusable nappies

Hi, I run the NCT nappy library mentioned above. I do have a newborn kit for hire for £5 but it depends when you are due as it does have a few reservations.  Contact me for more info and/or a free nappy demo.  Cheapest way to do it otherwise for a newborn is to get 3-4 tiny wraps and pad them with m...

Re: What Does a Hairstyle Tell You?

I'm with your husband. Our son is going to have his fringe trimmed this week (whether he likes it or not) so that his eyes are actually visible but the overall length will stay. It's very important to him, and a school that is so conventional as to object clearly isn't the right place for him.   Jus...

Re: Willington School

It's better for me to have packed lunches as he's very fussy.  I often send pasta, baked beans or soup in a Thermos.  I guess the planning application refers to the thing where they are putting another floor in over the hall and making a library up there. I think. Work only happens in the summer hol...

Re: Willington School

I have a son in Y6 there. No, they don't have a kitchen so most people provide packed lunches. There is a delivery service from Pret a Manger that a few use.  It is mixed ability but there is some teaching in sets as the boys get older.  In years 7 and 8 the two classes are split according to future...

Re: Beginners Greek lessons

Are the Hellenic Centre not getting back to you? Let me know if that's the problem as the Director is a family friend (and my inlaws helped found it). It's really the best place to learn, I had lessons there for years.

Re: dance classes for 5 y old boy

My son goes to the Village School of Dance in Wimbledon http://thevillageschoolofdance.com/ Too far for you I expect, but I wanted to say that he is the only boy in his modern and tap classes and doesn't mind at all. I think he likes being special and getting attention for it! He also goes to Stagec...

Re: Willington school... Thoughts please?

My son is in Y1 at Willington. They are a lovely bunch of boys (and parents) for the most part :D. Most live in Wimbledon and Raynes Park but I do know of a couple in Southfields. I chose the school over Squirrels or Rokeby because the Willington boys seemed so happy and well-adjusted. I was not wro...

Tidy Books toddler bookshelf for sale

Natural wood colour. It's the type that screws on flat against the wall with the books facing outwards on very shallow shelves so the child can see the covers. Very effective, but too young for my children now. Costs £119 new from Jojo Maman Bebe! I'm looking for £35. Collection from Wimbledon.
