Re: Local group set up for tactical voting and vote swapping to achieve a second referendum - Remainers please read!

Couldn't agree more with everything you say Starr, I'll absolutely be campaigning for  https://www.makevotesmatter.org.uk/  above all else, because we won't get sensible politics until we have PR, and we're in dangerous constitutional territory with this govt, fricking power grab. Oh for a leader li...

More peopled voted for parties supporting a 2nd referendum, than voted for parties in favour of Brexit.

So, rather than bury this at the bottom of a pre-General Election thread, I thought it deserved to be highlighted.   If you count the total votes in the election FOR parties that were advocating for a second referendum (Labour, Lib Dems, Greens, Plaid, SNP, Independents) then they considerably outn...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

Well, hey Greengrass, it's really interesting that your VERY FIRST post on this forum is a long and highly political one, at a crucial time, which seeks to conflate a number of issues and sow dischord among remain and Labour. I think you're a fake account.  Care to tell us your favourite local pub a...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

The vote swapping site  https://www.swapmyvote.uk/  cleverly links people on social media so you can check each other out and many people's political inclinations are fairer clear from their twitter and facebook feeds these days. You can also chat to your swappee on the phone and see what else you m...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

Thanks to everyone for the positive contributions, good to see the post top of the 'most read' threads.  It's great to see so much media focus on tactical voting and vote swapping too, it seems many more people are aware of it and considering it.  I've managed another two vote swaps today. I've done...

Listen - on LBC - I try and explain my tactical voting and vote swapping for Remain in Battersea - welcome comments

There's a great deal of commentary on tactical voting and vote swapping in the media, so I thought NVN members might appreciate my personal experience of doing exactly this, in fact both.  That nice Shelagh Fogarty on LBC gave me a few mins to explain my #voteswap and the nature of other swaps in di...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

So Julian, I reckon Marsha de Codova will hold Battersea, for reasons I won't bore you with here but which are outlined in some detail on post in a 'London remainers tactical voting and vote swapping' that I've set up on Next Door.  https://nextdoor.co.uk/g/gwghqi36q/?is=nav_bar  You have to be logg...

SWAP MY VOTE is finally LIVE - Tactical voting and vote swapping could give us a Remain Parliament

I'm delighted that this vote swapping site has just launched and, in addition to tactical voting for Remain, it gives us another way to make sure our vote counts for more in the coming GE. Our 'First past the post' system favours the two larger parties and is ridiculously unfair and undemocratic.  ...

Cat owners - Recommendation for cat flap installer?

Hi all, we' ve bought one of those things with a suction cup that are supposed to make circular holes in glass but either it's rubbish, or we're particularly inept at using it, but all it's done so far is make a circular, and not very deep scratch! I did have my doubts about the efficacy of somethin...

So....., it's working!  The group is only at 85 members but loads of engagement and we've already achieved several vote swaps and there are many more in the pipeline. I'm looking for green voters particularly who are keen to make their vote count for more (I have willing labour swappees in Caroline ...

Re: Local group set up for tactical voting and vote swapping to achieve a second referendum - Remainers please read!

Apologies, forgot to include a link  https://nextdoor.co.uk/g/gwghqi36q/?is=tophat   I should also apologise for the mistake in my original post. I was labouring under the misapprehension that EU nationals with 'settled status' could vote, but it turns out they can't, which I think's outrageous. No ...

De rien. Thousands of us really value the ability this site gives us to connect, support each other, ask questions, organise and advocate. There is inevitable conflict, but you guys do a great job managing it.

Local group set up for tactical voting and vote swapping to achieve a second referendum - Remainers please read!

Anyone use Next Door? Here’s how to use it to encourage tactically voting and vote swapping to Stop Brexit.  So here’s my latest Remoaner wheeze, and I hope I can encourage a few of you who use Next door to do the same. I’ve set up a group called “London remainers voting tactically or vote swapping ...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

So, just to briefly debunk some of this from Daddydaycarerocks – notwithstanding the fact the Labour manifesto is unlikely to include anything more towards private schools than a change in their tax status, where on earth do you get the “abolish everything British” from?   Corbyn is gonna trainwrec...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

Bookmummy, there's nothing hysterical about my comments or position, you don't address a single one of the issues about the vote's legitimacy, and that's because you have no decent response. Vote leave broke electoral law and lied through their teeth to the public, ergo it's illegitimate and provide...
