We ended up staying at the Excelsior in the Latin Quarter which was perfect for us.
Great location. Walked everywhere.
3 stops from Gard du Nord via the metro so easy to get straight to after the Eurostar train trip. 
Can definitely recommend.

Hotel in Paris

I am taking my 2 dd's to paris soon (ages 13 and 11) and I wondered if anyone had any hotel suggestions? Thinking  4 star if possible. It is a minefield out there in terms of hotels and would welcome suggestions rather than randomly picking one out on the internet! Thank you.

Another vote for Con Kelleher.  He  was recommended to me by 2 different NHS based obstetricians who work with him at Thomas's when I was on the hunt for a private consultant. He had personally delivered their children which shows he is trusted by his fellow obstetrician peers.
