Re: Can you recommend your hairdresser?

Hi all - just a quick one to recommend Jade, great mobile hairdresser who does my and my kids' hair. Great option to get all the family haircuts done in one go as she can do everything (men's scissor cuts, extensions etc as well as colour and blowdries!) reliably and efficiently with very competitiv...

Re: Please can anyone recommend a counsellor?

Thanks, v much appreciate everyone's support and suggestions!

Any reflections on what works to begin with - to put in place 4-6 fortnightly sessions and see how it goes?

Thanks

Please can anyone recommend a counsellor?

Hi everyone, I'd be really grateful to know if anyone, maybe especially dads reading, could recommend a counsellor. My husband (aged 39) has suffered from low level depression on and off for years now (probably about 15 years). He's what I'd call very high functioning, does well at work and enjoys l...

Campsite in the Nice area near a beach

Hi there, we are planning on trying camping next summer with our kids aged 6 and 4. Can anybody recommend a campsite (that does mobile homes!) in the Nice area? Ideally we'd like to be able to have direct access to the beach or very close.

Thank you!

Re: My friend's mum died yesterday, what can I do for his kids?

What a great godparent you are. So great that you're thinking of them! My dad died of cancer on Boxing Day last year and I found all the suggestions below very helpful - sweet stuff is good for energy and morale but reasonably healthy savoury meals are also great when you're in survival mode after a...

Brilliant nanny available Thursdays and Fridays - highly recommended!

Our wonderful nanny Jo, who has looked after our kids for a few years now, is looking for a new post for Thursday-Friday from September as she will sadly be finishing with the other family she works with. Jo is like a member of our family and we would recommend her unreservedly! She is very professi...

Gymnastics for a 5 year old - advice please!

Hi everyone, would welcome any recommendations! Our five year old daughter (already does ballet) has come back from holiday v keen on wanting to do gymnastics, trying to do handstands everywhere etc... I'm wondering if we could sign her up for a 1-2 day taster course somewhere over the summer, to se...

Re: Buy in Streatham or go bigger further out?

I've commented in more detail in other posts but I'd say go for it if you want to stay in London. We moved from SW11 nearly two years ago, to the big residential area between Streatham Hill and Tulse Hill. It's worked out brilliantly, we have lots more space indoor and outdoor now, fantastic neighbo...
