Second hand bikes

Hi all As lock down restrictions come off, like many Northern Line users, I'm keen not to use the tube! Therefore, any recommendations of good second hand bike shops - on the high street or online?  Would rather use something local to Clapham rather than the usual Gumtree or Ebay. Looking for someth...

Re: Neighbour throwing chocolates over the fence for dog to find

Thanks for all your comments.

I have acknowledged his complaint and am getting a trainer in to help.

However, couldn't help end my text to him with a slight dig about happy to have any spare chocolates passed to me directly, since they're not very good for the dog (and won't stop her barking) ;)

Re: Neighbour throwing chocolates over the fence for dog to find

Just to add, yes of course - I immediately responded to the text acknowledging the issue and said we were working on trying to calm the barking. We are also seeking help from a trainer, but it's not going to be an immediate fix.

Neighbour throwing chocolates over the fence for dog to find

Hi all A bit of early advice before things escalate. We have a border terrier who gets very over excited by a squirrel going through our garden. As a result, she always barks excitedly as she goes into the garden. We are conscious that this might irritate, so we try to quieten her down as quickly as...

Re: Recommendation for a Au Pair firm?

Hiya I have used au pair agencies in the past, but the results have been mixed. My best experience has been via Au Pair world - www.aupairworld.com. It is quite time consuming but you can use filters to select people and do the assessment yourself, rather than having someone pushed onto you. Mellymell

Re: Young teen struggling with school entrance process

I realise we are in a privileged position to be able to go for these schools in the first place and I'm also very aware that this is a double edged sword with respect to putting pressure on our children. Whatever the case, I keep reading articles about surges in population, so the pressure put on bo...

Computer running v.slow - anyone know an IT expert who does home visits?

Despite downloading all sorts of virus checkers/preventers, my computer (Apple) is running really slow.

Anyone know of a trustworthy, IT expert who can check out the hard drive and do a diagnostic check for me?  If they can do either a home visit or a virtual check, that would be great.

Thanks

Building children's confidence

Hi all Have two boys just entering that 'fun' pre-teen stage with different confidence issues. One has been slightly battered by the school selection system who is retreating into himself and things he's a failure. The other desperate to be the best at something, but finding it hard, since his peer ...

Ed Psych.

Hi all,

Looking for a couple of recommendations for an Ed Psych for my son. We're based near Clapham Common, so if there is someone good (espec. with boys) locally, that would be great.

Many thanks

Saturday Puppy Classes / nice vet

Hi all Question 1: We are on the list to get a puppy (Border Terrier) at the end of Feb and I would like to find out about local puppy training classes, so that the new family addition can make some new friends and also learn how to sit / stay / not chase squirrels etc. Someone mentioned to me a rea...
