Re: Nightingale Lane Safety/Audley Retirement Village Petition!

I fully agreed. People with limited mobility like my son have been having a hard time commuting around that area. Crossing the road is dangerous and as twinmum said, I can't believe the council gave them a go ahead on this.

Re: Door to door sponsorship requests

Got this one today. The youth was very rude and was accusing us for lying as we recognised him and told him we have him a couple weeks back already which was true. Still hang around and starting arguments after we told him that he was rude and he won't be getting any donation this way. I have taken ...

Re: Do local faith schools demand money from parents?

I'm confused. Are you Catholic but just upping your practice, i.e. going to Mass or are you not Catholic at all. If you're not Catholic then you are welcome to attend Mass but that won't give your child any priority in being admitted to school. I don't think converting to Catholicism just to get yo...

Re: Do local faith schools demand money from parents?

Just wow. I'm sitting on the fence here and have been considering going to masses for quite a while to get my child in a Catholic church nearby. We even consider converting. I have to say it's pretty daunting to say the least when I see the responses from Chutneymaniac and Scottov to a perfectly val...

Re: Road rage from a local businessman

BALLANTINE, I think you brought up many interesting points. I agree that at the rate of increase of cyclists, the infrastruture and motorists' attitude has been too slow to adjust. I also agree that a lot of new cyclists who are not motorists themselves are a bit clueless on how vulnerable they coul...

Re: Aggressive nanny

You did absolutely the right thing. Same thing happened in Maida Vale where I have just moved from. The witness had the details of the cloths of both nanny and the child, also the location, where they're heading, time etc. The family were tracked down by the mum community and god knows what happens ...
