Dear NVN

just seen this sign put up outside my house

Since I own an umbrella I think it's burglars trying to target me as,,

"An older person who struggles with umbrella" or

"Someone with piles of cash lives here"

Should I call the Police?

Re: Archer Street - Does a Soho Rule Book work on Family Friendly Northcote Road

"entertainment from professional West End singers" won't last long if they can only fill 20% of the tables! I can see that they want to avoid roving drinkers wandering in from the many pubs at the top of Northcote Road (but at £15 a cocktail they will probably wander out again)  and avoid stag night...

Re: Debenhams in Wandsworth to close

Can't say I'm surprised. At the moment we have Debenhams at Clapham Junction, Southside (due to close 2020) and Wimbledon (also due to close 2020) within a very small compass. The Wimbledon Debenhams is huge so that will have an even greater impact on the "Centre Court" shopping centre than Southsid...

Re: Residents asked if they want lorries banned from Magdalen Road

This is ridiculous if true. Magdalen Road is a wide road that was designed to carry some heavy local traffic. If you don't like that, don't live on it. It's just going to push traffic onto the smaller Earlsfield roads until residents on those roads get their own ban and then those trucks won't be a...

Re: Residents asked if they want lorries banned from Magdalen Road

Well the council has just announced the results of the survey.

162 residents replied to the survey.

162 residents agreed with the lorry ban (Surprise!)

So the ban is going to be implemented in the next two months.

Re: These are the areas of Wandsworth where the most burglaries have been reported

Statistics statistics -makes Wandsworth Common look like Chicago in the 20's In the map below you'll see 31 crimes of all types reported around Trinity Road - The  Toastrack part. However a staggering 23 of these crimes are committed in just one road - a tiny cul-de-sac with a handful of houses.  I'...

I'd hazard a guess that you'd need to get more than "17.4 million" signatures on this petition in order to get any substantial movement.
