Re: Would you keep the sex of your baby secret for 11 months?

Hmmm, I think "Gender Bias" is a smokescreen since it would only affect a child as it grows beyond a baby and makes it's way in the wider world as it interacts socially with others. I would guess the real reason for this is that the parents believe in the myth that sex is a social construct rather t...

Re: Who is vomiting on cars in Earlsfield?

Perhaps I can shed some light on this... I'm on the Magdalen estate and about a month ago I noticed strange rings of liquid muck which looked like vomit connected by a trail of dribble that corresponded to where the dust cart stopped on the weekly round. Further up the road where the dustcart linger...

Re: Am I Right To Be Miffed About This Lack Of Consideration? Your Opinions Please!

I find it really hard when people do not reciprocate the level of kindness I show them. I wonder if some people even see kindness as weakness? Shil1625 - I think there maybe something in what you say there. She certainly had an air of always getting her own way regardless and of riding roughshod ov...

Re: Timothy West sells family home on Spencer Park

Such a shame - it's a beautiful sprawling substantial house and gardens that must have been a dream home to raise their children when they moved in in the '70s (?) . Such a unique house would be hard to move on from in any circumstances let alone because of the tragedy of dementia - impossible to re...

Re: Am I Right To Be Miffed About This Lack Of Consideration? Your Opinions Please!

Wow - thanks for all the extra responses - I feel much better now! Also  I had to gasp at some of the experiences some of you have written about...the idea that someone having a favour done for them can suddenly turn and, beyond being ungrateful, become rude and act like it's THEM doing the favour! ...

ps I admit that I did have one devilish "serve you right" moment against her!

When she picked the bike up I saw that she was having trouble lifting it into her 4x4...I could have helped her lift it it but instead pretended I didn't notice and shut the front door! ☺️

Am I Right To Be Miffed About This Lack Of Consideration? Your Opinions Please!

Am I right to feel miffed about this? A small problem I know but it ruins your week when people can be so breathtakingly inconsiderate – especially when you do them a favour! Last week I was walking the dog on the Common early in the morning when a young boy (probably about 12 or so) whizzed past m...

Re: Do fee paying schools offer help if you get into financial difficulty

When my husband became ill we approached our son's (he had been there for 3 years) private school expecting them to be flexible and thinking there may have been a "hardship fund" of some sort. We were  disappointed to find that, although sympathetic the message was - no -  no real help at all, even ...

Re: Please DON'T buy H. Forman and son smoked salmon from Waitrose (Lance Forman MEP has heinous bigoted views) - boycot

I asked for evidence of heinous bigotry and all we get is a weak joke which you subjectively think is proof of bigotry? You can't even find one actual quote on twitter to support this - but instead expect us to trawl a hundred pages of twitter feed to find something that offends you? If you are so s...

Denwand, dear dear, thought you'd been banned for life, what a shame. Still a loon then?  If anyone has any sensible, reasoned arguments as to why Mr Forman's views are not abhorrent, I'd be genuinely interested to hear them.      Banned for what pray? Disagreeing with you?  Accusing people ...
