Has the Saturday Farmer's Market at Southside Fizzled out???

On a Saturday morning, about a month ago, I noticed a Farmer's Market at the Ram Brewery square opposite Southside (on the opposite side of Wandsworth High Street)...about a dozen stalls selling fresh bread, olives, flowers, coffee, meat, organic veg etc. Two weeks ago I saw that the number of stall...

Re: Dishwasher advice

Give the drain hole and filter at the bottom of the dishwasher a good clean out with hot water - preferably cleaning the various parts in your sink in they detach, remove the racks and soap down in the sink as well. Fill a cup with 250ml of white vinegar and place on the top rack - do a hot cycle an...

Re: General Election - what do we think for Battersea?

It feels wrong to not vote for the party you think is the right one just because you don't believe they could win.  Surely the better option is to speak freely about how you feel and try and get others to come round to your way of thinking?   Otherwise we end up with an incumbent party hell bent on...

Re: What time is appropriate to start Trick or Treating

For the very littlest ones we found as early as possible after sunset is best - sunset is at 16.36 tonight so maybe sometime between 17.00 and 17.30. What we did when they were small was give some sweets or treets to our next door neighbours (to give to our kids later) either side and then accompany...

Actually Jane Ellison was a Remainer who decided that she had to respect the referendum result.

Oh didn't realise that - I was judging her position on the number and tone of the barbed messages aimed at her! - Thanks!  :D

Re: General Election - what do we think for Battersea?

It will certainly be interesting in Battersea There's no doubt in my mind that  Marsha De Cordova only got in because the Tories Jane Ellison was  a Brexit supporter in a highly remain constituency. Since then Ms De Cordova has given a fairly low-wattage performance disappointing most of her Remain ...

Re: Is it worth buying Miele?

Miele vacuum cleaners are excellent in my book, powerful, quiet and light to carry around - a view supported by our cleaner and she should know!...It's also robust and well made and despite being knocked around the accessories, tubes and body showed no signs of wear. However I have had to replace th...

Re: Car Park attempted robbery

That's shocking and how very upsetting for you even though nothing was lost in the end (and more importantly nobody hurt although these things can be disturbing and the effects last a while.

Disturbing also is the careful and sinister pre-meditation of the whole affair ....

Re: Extinction Rebellion co-founder from Wandsworth faces trial over Heathrow disruption

What makes the report controversial is the first response by "Denwand". Being critical of an active activist while he / she posts a Utube video link to an arm-chair activist on Twitter "Paul Joseph Watson" . The latter smeared XR and its founders. That's easy to do with the establishment's blessing...

Re: Extinction Rebellion co-founder from Wandsworth faces trial over Heathrow disruption

Deeply sinister person with ulterior motives to overthrow democratic governments and install a Marxist totalitarian Eco-state - he doesn't beleive in democracy after only receiving 0.04% of the vote in his constituency in the Euro elections - so violent revolution becomes justified in his book. See...

Re: Homebase and B&Q near Wandsworth Town railway station face wrecking ball

It's been coming for a while... It's going to look like downtown New York (without the shops, cafes, restaurants and bars of course - still there's the BP petrol station for your food shop - that's nice) Flats, flats, flats ...and we will loose the open air aspect and skyscape around the station and r...
