Is it worth buying a Miele Dishwasher???

Hi all, I am a bit of a Miele fan after my Miele washing machine has outlasted all of my previous Siemans/Bosch etc ones by a large margin - 10 years and still going strong (touch wood) I am asking since my Bosch Dishwasher has gone phutt in exactly the same way as my last Bosch and after a similar ...

They seemed to fail because either the switchgear packed up (ie the rotary knob that selected the wash setting and rotated as it went through the cycle) or the door release mechanism ...

Re: Clapham South violent assault

This is truly disgusting and something more akin to the 3rd world. I can imagine anyone could be unfortunate enough to be on a late train and be targeted by these scum. I am also surprised that no description of these thugs, either by the poor victim or the Police, has been given - apart from the fa...

Re: Yet another mugging on St John’s Road

These muggings have seem to have increased lately with the same M.O. I witnessed two unmarked police cars stop a group of about 6 youths on Bqttersea Rise outside Hawkins Forge about 8pm on Friday 12th January - very dramatic as the two cars mounted the pavement each side of the group to cut of thei...

Re: Crime due to LTN

During the disastrous Covid LTN that plagued the Beechcroft Road that bordered Trinity Road south of Wandsworth Common, crime rose considerably. The area was subject to roaming gangs of teenagers on (stolen?) scooters as well as a number on (borrowed?) e-bikes. They could whizz through the planter r...

Re: Happy Christmas, not "Happy Holidays" please!

The use of Xmas for Christmas dates back hundreds of years - X is for the Greek letter Chi which is the first letter of Christ in Greek. It’s not just modern people being lazy. Good point that I didn't realise :D Another point; "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" is a well rounded and ...

Re: SCAM WARNING - Please Read

I always insist that our kids annotate a "desperate need for funds" message with the name of our cat to verify - something like "HELP I NEED A TOP UP AND MY PHONES BROKE _ TIDDLES" Lucky they've never had to send me one in real life. I have received a couple of scam texts without...
