Re: fussy eater - help!

One of the best bits of advice I heard - it was from a Radio 4 programme but I can't remember what it was called sorry - was to give a very small amount of a new food, literally pea-size, and have them taste that rather than offer a portion size on a plate. Also getting them to try it in a non-confr...

Re: Wandsworth Test Tutoring

I can wholeheartedly recommend Charlotte’s classes, both my children attended and got into Graveney after a good Wandsworth Test score. They really enjoyed the teaching in a small group environment and Charlotte is wonderful with the kids.

Re: Are airports as bad as the papers say?

P.S. in Terminal 5 they would only let you queue for the bag drop 2 hours before your flight (this was to mainland Europe) so there was no point getting there mega-early. Presumably this is to avoid everyone turning up early, causing more crowds

Re: Are airports as bad as the papers say?

I’ve taken two flights from Heathrow in the past month or so. The one from Terminal 3 on 30th June was terrible - I queued from the moment I stepped in the airport to getting onto the plane - 2.5 hours (couldn’t even get a coffee as I was on my own and didn’t want to lose my place in the queue!). Th...

Re: Neighbours snoring SO SO loud, help!

As someone who has to live with a very loud snorer in the same bed I recommend earplugs, but they have to be the silicone type (not foam, they’re useless). Boots not Superdrug. Good luck!

Re: My 7 years old gags when trying new foods

Yes! I remember that programme, it really made an impression. My daughter also finds trying new foods difficult. Their suggestion of giving a tiny portion to try (half the size of a pea) was useful - it’s far less daunting. I also try to turn away so she doesn’t feel that all eyes are on her, and I ...

Re: Advice on Bolingbroke v Graveney?

My son started at Graveney last September. He is very happy there and we are delighted with the school. The other day I asked him what the best thing about being there was and he replied 'the quality of the teaching' (I almost fell off my chair  😆). He has also made a really great group of friends. ...

Re: Birth Experience. Does it Matter?

Hello Nadia. I came to your classes when expecting my first child, 12 years ago - an age ago! I have often looked back to that first class where you told your story, to a big room of first-time pregnant women, of a traumatic caesarian and how your second birth, a natural birth - I'm sure you said th...

Re: called out by school mum for not consulting on birthday gift

I think I’d be upset not to be consulted as a parent. Not least because if you do this for one girl then surely you have to do it for all six - if it’s £50 a time then £250 for 5 friends is rather a lot. Yes they SHOULD be responsible at 15/16, but they are still children. No doubt well-meaning but ...
