Re: School advice please

Have you considered Sacred Heart in Battersea?  It's the most wonderful school with a brilliant SENCO.  Very inclusive with an excellent Head.    I have a son with autism who went there and he thrived.

Re: Child with ASD - Honeywell, Belleville, Ravenstone, Beatrix Potter, Allfarthing or Swaffield?

I wouldn't go to Honeywell either.  In fact most mainstreams are so chaotic for kids with ASD.  Have you considered an ASD unit within a mainstream school - eg Hilary House at Sacred Heart.  Amazing system where kids learn with other ASD children in the morning then go into mainstream in the afterno...

Re: Weekend pedestrianisation of Northcote Road will begin at Easter

I've got to be honest, I find it a total pain as well.  It's lovely for a month or so in the summer - especially when it's quiet and the businesses need extra footfall but I do think it's going on for far too long and kind of ruins the fun of it all. The bus diversion is such a pain as well.  We liv...

Re: Youth Mentoring - bmactive (Coach Ben and Coach Elliot)

I simply can't recommend Ben & Elliott enough.  They have been working with my 12 year old son for over a year and he has gained in confidence so much.

I would highly recommend.

Re: Honeywell School or local private prep?

Hi - we did a similar thing to the previous poster - moved our daughter when she was in year 2 from Honeywell to a local prep school and i agree with most of the points. Our daughter wasn't very happy and i think the main problem with honeywell is that they don't move the classes about - so from day...
