Re: Work about to start on £165k revamp for Wandsworth Common playground

This will be finished tomorrow and handed over to the council then. Not sure how long they take to open it, but surely it will be open next week ... looks great

Re: Please sign and share this petition demanding Wandsworth Labour councillors bring a Peoples Vote motion to council

These people trying to change a democratic vote (on all different Wandsworth social media sites, including this one and Nextdoor - you know who you are), are getting very very boring. Let’s leave politics out of this site please. You have made your point and there are more important issues to discus...

Re: Aupair pay in SW London

Here is the government guidelines for employing an au pair. https://www.gov.uk/au-pairs-employment-law/au-pairs There is no Paid holiday entitlement or sick pay requirement. If they are sick, they must be still provided with their board and lodgings obviously though. Most au pairs have 2 nights baby...

Re: CEO of Wandsworth and Richmond councils is highest earner in South London in new 'rich list' of CEOs across town hal

So out of touch. How can someone running a council earn so much. Twice as much as the prime Minister.

Max £100k for these positions - I bet the pension is massive as well.

Re: Please sign petition for Wandsworth to declare climate emergency!

China pumps out more pollution in a year than we have (the Uk) in the last 100 years. Do you really think you will make any difference ?

Re: Has anyone else asked their MP to leave their current Party ?

Do you think this sort of action and behaviour by MP’s is responsible? (Clue : No is the answer) With the current political turmoil, is not appropriate for some jumped up prima donna’s (not exactly major names) to break the countries political system up. That’s all they are doing, leading to hung pa...

Re: Labour MP for Battersea, Marsha de Cordova comes out in support of a People's Vote!

Just because you don’t agree with the way a result went , doesn’t mean those 17million (yes, 17million) people were wrong. Getting bored of the same names accross the local social media not moving on to what the majority of the uk population voted for. An example, Chelsea are beaten by a 3rd divisio...

Re: Think Uber drivers have it bad? Take a look at au pairs

This sort of forum post smacks or liberal leftism. Do we really want a nanny state where we are controlled by people who think they know best and don’t trust the population. No, that’s why we are leaving Europe. Au pair positions allow a young person to live/experience another country and learn new ...

Re: So we're loosing Wandsworth's Homebase AND B&Q

So were are we meant to buy our DIY stuff from now then ?

Won’t miss the overpriced loss making Homebase, but B&Q is essential to the area.

Wandsworth council, what are you doing - just want more council tax I guess ?
