Re: School fee rebates

Parents I know Hornsby have been told to expect recently to expect a 'fair' discount, decided when the term is over I guess.  Hornsby was a 20% discount last summer, but Hornsby incredibly put their fees up by 4% this term - many parents thought that was an 'out of touch' decision perhaps. Thomas's ...

Re: Lockdown learning - is your school offering live lessons?

Finton are offering a good section of live lessons. Hornsby are only offering 2 live lessons a day (English and Maths) and the rest of the subjects are just using documents or video.

Re: NYE party in the street

It’s time we all concentrated on what’s right for ourselves and not try and police others.

Enjoy your short time on this planet. Posts like this need to stop.

Re: Does anyone know of cricket lessons in Clapham or its surrounds

Batteries Ironsides has a cricket section that’s good as well for younger children (start at Under5).

Spencer whilst good, has got very expensive, £150 for a 3 month season.

Re: 'No left turn' rule causes chaos in Kimber Road, Earlsfield

Well done to the spray painters - If the police in the picture above think its ridiculous, please continue spraying all the new silly LTN and TFL schemes that are only wanted by the NIMBY few.

£11/hr for our cleaner and she is very good.

Re: TfL changes to A24 Balham High Road

I have a nasty feeling, these changes are going to be pushed through without any regard for what residents think.

They are so shortsighted, I predict they will last 12 months max!

Re: Some first hand travel experience post lockdown

"Aircrafts are completely sanitised before each flight" I think you need to check your facts, as maybe some, but definitely not all airlines are doing this around Europe. I am sure cleaning happens at the end of the day, but not all airlines are doing this between flights - it takes too lo...

Re: E-scooters allowed on London's roads from Saturday

Greyskies - I think your spot on. The way scooters silently wizz past me even when I am cycling on the pavement with the children scares me -  It makes me feel like the old people do, when I cycle past them  😂 I think e scooters would have a noise built into them, so we can hear them (like electric ...

Re: Another shoplifter in QT Toys

What is wrong with people, as if it's not difficult enough to run a business. Maybe to help stop this we need to have a 'most Wanted' photo/video section on NV ?! Then all local businesses can post, I am sue there will be overlapping photos and owners can look out for the thieves when they walk into...

Re: Congestion charge to rise to £15 next week and apply at evenings and weekends

I think more of an issue will be the ULEZ - it will expand up to the North and South Circular roads from 25 October 2021. So many cars older than c.4 years old, driving around Wandsworth will be hit with the 24/7 daily charge of £12.50 - check your car here : https://www.london.gov.uk/what-we-do/env...

Khan was warned many times that freezing fares would come back to bit him (just google it) :- https://www.transport-network.co.uk/Khan-confirms-TfL-fare-freeze-despite-funding-gap/16301 The fare freeze has cost TFL over £600m in lost revenue and it has £13bn of debt :- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-...

Re: Police injured during illegal Brixton street party clashes

Disgusting - if you want to be part of British society, respect the rules and others and especially the Police. The black lives matter campaign does not give people the right to do what they want without being arrested. I am disappointed that the Police Cells of Brixton were not overflowing this mor...
