Roof problems

I had my roof completely replaced in 2014 and the job was supervised by an architect. Yesterday I discovered the roof is leaking badly.
Can anyone advise me whether my roof should still be under guarantee? I also need a good surveyor. Thank you

Re: Movers & Packers recommendation (URGENT!)

Ward Thomas are wonderful for both house moves and flat moves. They even come to us to move heavy furniture from room to room when we are re-decorating part of our house. They have also taken our furniture into store while we were adding on an extension to the house. I cannot recommend them highly e...

Re: Bin men throwing recycling in with general refuge

I notice there is no longer an "Orange Bag" skip at the Wansworth Dump in Smugglers Way but I am sure it is just so that general recycling can go there including orange bags. Like you I spend ages preparing the recycling and I feel it is so important that the bin guys put the orange bags i...

Re: Plus Rooms, Build Team, More Space or My London Extensio

I strongly recommend that you find a good architect and then let her/him do the drawings, get planning permission and put the job out to tender and then supervise the job. After planning permission is granted an architect will be sure that the extension that is actually built does not end up having ...

Can anyone recommend really good restaurants in SW11? We have been going to Numero UNO for some years but we need a change. Chez Bruce is great for a special occasion. But now we want to try to explore and have new experiences.

Re: 2 burglaries on Salcott Road!

Sorry to hear about the drug dealers. I telephoned the police last week with my crime reference number to find out if the perpetrators of our burglary in December were the ones that were recently caught by the MET. After the incident at our house there were finger prints taken from the sash window t...

Re: 2 burglaries on Salcott Road!

I hope the police will notify all those burgled if these arrests lead to convictions. The police officers who took forensic evidence and finger prints from our house after we were burgled through a sash window said we would be notified. Does anyone know how long it takes from arrest to conviction? F...

Double glazed factory painted classic windows?

Please can anyone recommend double glazed factory painted sash windows for a house in Broomwood Road? They need to look just like the originals did before they went rotten! I am saying factory painted because we don't want them jamming up when being painted and the extra expense of all that. Has any...

Re: Sash window security - after burglary

Our window was jimmied open the same way by the burglars despite 2 key screw locks. The scary thing is that the burglars set off our alarm but remained in our house for 3 minutes before fleeing probably because of a police siren. Apparently they allow up to 8 minutes even with bells ringing as it ta...
