Re: New local campaign group, 'Parents for Future' tackling the climate emergency and protecting our children's future

Agreed Kirsty - it’s great to be part of a group that is so active, not just in giving ways we can help as individuals (like not driving an SUV or any car!) but also I love the group is getting stuck into lobbying for bigger scale changes. We can’t meet the necessary targets set if we wait for indiv...

Picture Framers

Can anyone recommend a good picture framer that isn’t too expensive please? We just had some really gorgeous photos taken (by http://www.emilytravis.space) and I want to do them justice without nice framing but ideally without remortgaging the house! PS can’t recommend Emily highly enough, my kids a...

Re: Nightingale Lane Safety/Audley Retirement Village Petition!

I really can’t understand why the council allowed this to happen. Thanks for starting this, I’ll send my details on.

Inside Man on Northcote Rd

I've just seen that the old Capsticks branch is going to be The Inside Man. I'm so pleased to see a local success story.

And selfishly delighted as although Bellevue Road is not far for Xmas shopping, the chances of dragging my three little 'helpers' there this year are slim at best!!

do you dye your hair?

In my spare (ha!) time I am doing a marketing course and we have to pretend to launch a new hair dye. As part of it we have to do some research so I have done a short survey and would love it if you would help me be top of the class by taking part, pretty please… Huge thanks in advance for anyone wh...

Paediatric urologist

Hello

Can anyone recommend a paediatric urologist please? We are going private and would prefer Parkside hospital but happy to go to any hospital for the right consultant.

I would really appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Make Up Event

This sounds such a fun evening - I'd love to come but sadly have a pilates class. Please do another one very soon!

Great idea, and that room at the Northcote is lovely for things like this. Hope you all have a fun night, wish I was there - could do with some glamming up at the moment :)

Re: Thurleigh Rd Drs - is it just me?!

I knew it wasn't just me! Thank you Tilly & Moo, I feel much better :) If there was at least a system that queued up the calls, you wouldn't have to keep dialling and redialling (and could at least make your kids' breakfast) - that's what they had at Lavender Hill. And I was never turned away fo...

Thurleigh Rd Drs - is it just me?!

I usually think of myself as a calm, sane person. And I am the last person to take part in any NHS-bashing, just the opposite in fact. But ARGH every dealing with Thurleigh Rd Drs practice and my blood is boiling! Their antique and useless systems drive me crazy!! We used to be with the Lavender Hil...

Re: Belleville/Honeywell first offer distance?

Er.. northsidedad, Siyeo is a dad. So stop it please with your 'bored mums' as from your username this looks to me like a row between two, well, bored Dads. Funny how when men do it it is 'debate' and for women it is 'gossip'. You can apologise now to us mums who are getting quite bored of reading t...

Re: How to meet other parents?

Hello! What funny timing, another mum-to-be was just asking something similar on this thread: http://www.nappyvalleynet.com/mums/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=48809 As I said to her, I am going to be launching a service in a couple of weeks that I hope will help you all. I don't want to be unnecessarily ...

Re: Which NCT course for Wandsworth Town?

I had exactly the same problem when I was pregnant! So much so that it inspired me to launch a new service that will put groups of expectant mothers together, in your local area, for friendship and support. This will be completely complementary to any antenatal classes you may be attending, so this ...

Exercise on the common - any 10am classes?

I like exercising outdoors and so I'm looking for a fun class on wandsworth common. Think more 'Fit for a princess' than 'Military boot camps' but I would have a go at anything. I just can't seem to find a list of what's on and when - there are loads I'm sure. With a school and nursery drop to negot...
