Wonderful and very experienced nanny to share - 2 days a week

Hi there We are looking to find a local family to share our nanny with 2 days a week ideally based at our house just off Wandsworth Common.  In term time our boys are at school all day so the share family would benefit from sole charge during the day.  Our nanny is extremely experienced at looking a...

Re: Local private primary schools?

My understanding is that The Sunday Times ranking only includes schools that sit SAT tests. Lots of the local prep schools don't do SATs so can't/won't be included in this league table.

Re: Broomwood or Thomas's Clapham

Hi - I have 2 boys at TC (one in upper school and one in lower school) and am generally very happy with it. We were also offered a place at Broomwood but we opted for TC in the end as we weren't so keen on moving our boys at 8 to Northcote Lodge and we liked the option to keep the boys at TC through...

Re: Views please! Is £15 ph for evening nanny a reasonable rate?

I couldn't agree more re childcare being underpaid. Nannies have very responsible jobs and it is not unskilled work IMO. It never ceases to amaze me the expectations some local parents have of their nannies/nanny housekeepers v what they are willing to pay.

Re: Views please! Is £15 ph for evening nanny a reasonable rate?

I would say it is a little on the high side but not vastly so. Bear in mind that after school nannies usually command a couple of £s more per hour than a nanny who is working full days. And good experienced day nannies in this area can command £12/£13 net per hour.

Re: Blue Team Gardens

Hi, we decided to go with Blue Team and they did an absolutely fantastic job. Leo was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. He was extremely professional and his team was tidy and hardworking. The garden looks great. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

So so fed up with Virgin Media. Can anyone recommend a decent broadband suppliet

Broadband speed seems to be getting slower and slower. No internet connection now for 2 days and apparently it won't be fixed for another three days. Hours spent on phone on hold to call centre in India and although call handlers are polite when you finally get through no one can help and when I ask...

Re: Front garden builders recommendations

Hi - I tried for months to get a proper quote out of Abbey Drives but gave up in the end. I did a search on this site for feedback on them and noted it was mixed - there was recent feedback from someone who was clearly v unhappy with their work (sorry I can't work out how to post the link but if you...

Re: Fixtures and fittings - seller wants to take it all! (even a tree!)

I would say it is very standard to take your washing machine, curtains, curtain poles and fridge (unless it is a fully integrated fridge).
