Re: Greedy Owners Discount (Or Lack Of) for Private School

We decided to not take a place last year due to the way that parents were treated.
The very poor reduction speaks volumes really.

Re: Help incredibly noisy kids behind me and to the side of me

Move to the Country?! In all honesty it is London and you cannot expect them to stay in and be quiet.
Yes 10pm is late and sending letters is not the right way of dealing with it either.

Re: Anybody?! consultant recommendations: Lansdell

PS - They do not like to do half NHS and half private as it confuses the system and our GP strongly advises against it. It is best to pick one and go with it plus once you’ve seen the options available and care you probably won’t want to mix the two yourself.

Re: Anybody?! consultant recommendations: Lansdell

Highly recommend Keith Duncan who is in charge at The Kensington Wing in C&W.
Dry sense of humour but at the top of his game and you’d be in very safe hands.
We were very happy with the care received, frequency of scans and my scar is so thin you cannot see it.
A very happy and healthy baby born.

Re: Broomwood Hall - Garrad's Road Prep Closure

Apologies the meeting on Thursday. I’ve just been told that when RR tried for planning permission in the enquiry to support their last application to open a senior school (in a building they had bought behind the Nightingale Lane site) one objection raised was that RR site already had more pupils th...

Re: Broomwood Hall - Garrad's Road Prep Closure

Thanks so much for all of your advice, we will be looking at other options and attending the meeting tomorrow.
We feel so very sad by the way it has been handled and the lack of response still!!

GR is not set up to be a senior school as it is so very small. Such a sad situation.

Re: Broomwood Hall - Garrad's Road Prep Closure

You may not be surprised but many new parents like ourselves are. No mention of this when we paid our deposit not long ago. The parents currently there (thanks to those who have contacted me directly) are shocked and unhappy.  Garrad's Road is very popular and a totally different school to RR. Looki...

Broomwood Hall - Garrad's Road Prep Closure

Dear NVN parents, It was with horror and disappointment that we were made aware just before 1700 on Friday evening that Broomwood Hall, Garrad's Road (GR) would be closing their doors to pre prep in 2020. GR will become a senior school and that is all we know!! Perhaps the owners of BH think that pl...

Re: Will writing recommendation please

It depends on the level of will that you need. A more complex will cannot be done over the phone as the solicitor needs to meet with you and confirm that you are in mentally able to make decisions. These days many people will make a basic will (which is made public on death) and list everything they...

Serious Scooter Mugging in Balham

Yesterday afternoon in day light on a very quiet street in Balham (Byrne Road) a mugging took place. Two large men on a scooter who had sat on a road opposite before mugging a man for his watch. They use force, threatened the man (and someone who tried to help the man being mugged) with a large knif...

Re: Mother attacked for Rolex as her children run screaming for help

There was a very bad mugging in Balham yesterday. Two men on a bike mugged a man for his watch and also sprayed him in the face with something.
They had a large knife. When is the Mayor going to do something? His promise to combat this crime if not happening.
