Re: Saying no to my sister?

Can’t you just rent the villa and then you won’t be lying when you say it’s not available? Mind you you’re then entrusting it with strangers which could be even worse 🤣

Re: Is having a 'bump' o a class night out usual?

I agree maybe approach the school first. Have also heard that the new approach by the police is to come down much harder on middle class drug use as currently all the damage is being done to one end of society while the middle class drug users turn a blind eye. Every drug user should read ‘Amexicana...

Re: Is 15, year 10 too young to go to the Reading Festival?

Day ticket is a fab compromise! I’m going for the day with my son who is 12 as priority will be the music, not the night time activities!

Re: Dyson hairdryers

So I had a Dyson hairdryer and found it slightly quicker than a regular hairdryer but not a massive difference. My main purpose was to save time as I have thick long hair. However, I then sold it and upgraded to the Air wrap. Completely agree with previous poster cannot for the life of me work out h...

Re: Private primary school

Hi We had a similar experience when we were in a very competitive school in Clapham. Our child was constantly over-shadowed by the other more confident, bright, sporty children and in fact we always thought he wasn’t very bright and it wasn’t until we eventually asked for his cat scores we realised ...

Re: Why do people always ask what my husband does for a living?

I think I would take offence that someone is asking what my husband does rather than what I do and I’m British (!) but would be interested to know why that is a rude question in France?

Re: Taking the children on an extended holiday

Yes definitely just go! It may be your husband is worried about being left while which is why he’s not too enthusiastic but it’s a fabulous opportunity and I took mine away for a month at the same time. You’ll never get that timd back and life is for living!

Re: Tick found on husband - advice needed on sprays etc for garden to get rid of them!!

I wouldn’t panic too much, we live out in the countryside now with kids outside permanently so ticks are just a by product of countryside living. Just make sure you are checking regularly, particularly in the groin area on your kids and if you see one twist and pull. If you see a round circle form a...

Re: Travelling now, would you do it?

Oh I disagree! I have been to Cyprus, Greece, Jamaica and the Maldives since the pandemic hit and yes it’s absolutely been stressful (mainly due to the requirements for PCR to go) but absolutely been worth it when I got there. Unfortunately this is not going away anytime soon so we have to start get...

Re: Where are the decent playgrounds in Wandsworth and Tooting?

I’ve recently moved out of the area and completely agree with you. However, I used to enjoy the ones at Brockwell Park in Brixton! Try there!
