Re: Parents not paying for end of year present?

Sorry you’re in this situation, lesson learned as others have said only ever spend what you’ve actually received. I’ve been class rep numerous times for my kids and how it’s always been done is at Xmas and end of year a collection is done, the wording has always been along the lines of “we are aimin...

Re: Au pair freedoms during lockdown?

We went through this the last lockdown with a live in nanny/housekeeper. We asked her to respect the government guidelines and she repeatedly broke them. We actually ended up seeking advice on whether it would be considered a breech of contract and apparently it would be even though it was out of wo...

Re: Please help me decide

So I can’t speak to East Sheen specifically but about four years ago we moved out of London (still lurking on Nappy Valley Net though!) and I was nervous leaving the area but it was the best decision ever, more space and a bigger garden is amazing.

Re: Father Christmas

I really enjoyed Chessington at Christmas the last two years, a few of the rides are open, you can see the animals, decorate a cookie, see a Gruffalo singing show and see Santa.....

Re: Nursery recommendations SW18

I think Newpark is excellent. My LO went there but left 2 years ago when we moved from the area however a close friend of mine has her child there at the minute and it sounds like it hasn’t changed at all. I sent my LO to a different nursery in the area we moved to and my second child is now at this...

Re: Osteopath recommendation

I'll second James at Back to Back, he's amazing.

I went for an injury but I have a friend who went post pregnancy so I know he's good with that too.

I used Cadogen Tate on the recommendation of a friend and whilst not cheap they were fantastic, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Re: Settling in a 1 year old at nursery - how long?

My son started nursery almost a year ago just after his first birthday, he was (and still is on occasions very clingy). We did 5 sessions over 2 weeks, starting at 1 hour and increasing by an hour each time. I stayed with him the first session, the second one I stayed an hour and then left him for a...

Re: The Tonsleys/Wandsworth Town Station

We live in the Tonsleys. Train station is generally fine as long as you get to the station before 8ish, much after 8 the trains get very busy and you might even find a few go through without being able to get on. If there is a major issue with the trains on a particular morning due to an incident or...

Re: Socialisation advice?

I am in Wandsworth so probably doesn't help but just incase. I have only just started looking for nurseries (my son is 8 months) but I don't want him to start until September and then I only want a few mornings a week, as like you it's just for the socialisation, I don't actually need the childcare....

Re: cheating husband

So sorry your are going through this - I know how it feels. My husband had an affair and at the time denied it, made me feel like I was being paranoid even though I "knew" he was (but had no absolute proof). Anyway you don't need to know the details of what happened to me but just to give ...

Baby proofing service

Does anyone know of any companies that will come to your house and baby proof it - ie; advise on what you need and then actually source and install everything?

I have found some online but always prefer to go with a company that has been recommended!

Thanks
