Re: Kitchen Extension - Recommendations Please!

We had a small kitchen extension done by R&M Lines 3 years ago, and were very pleased with the service, process and results. They're definitely not the cheapest but they really strove to give us exactly what we wanted.  Project manager Reuben was excellent.

Re: Typical cost of side/rear extension?

I saw RM Lines being recommended, and I'd like to echo that - they just did a kitchen refurb and small extension for us and we thought they were very good.

Re: Uber stripped of London licence

Quite right too. I tried them twice. The first one was excellent. The second driver had virtually no English, literally no idea of the location of my destination or how to get there, and the journey ended with him driving illegally down one of those really wide cycle lanes and being stopped by the p...

Re: Only zero rated hygiene score in SW12

It's already mandatory to display hygiene ratings in Wales (so whatever The Times thinks, it is not a matter of leaving the EU).

Re: Anyone know a kind vet locally?

Mr Phakkey at Animal Choice on Upper Tooting Park is gentle and I think a thoughtful, helpful vet. We used him for our cat until he succumbed at the ripe old age of 18, and he is now vet to our elderly dog.

Any experience of using R & M Lines?

Hi there. I'm thinking of getting R & M Lines to quote on some kitchen remodelling, involving a tiny extension, structural work to create a better flow room to room, and revamping and adding to our existing kitchen units. Does anyone have any recent experience, good or bad, of using them? Any co...

Re: Jane Ellison Article 50

FYI this is the position of Tooting MP, Dr Allin Khan - cut and pasted from an email from her to the local Labour Party: We live in a representative democracy, where an MP represents the interests and the will of local people. That's why I believe that respecting the EU Referendum result means my jo...

Re: Yoga recommendations

Can't speak too highly of the Iyengar studio in Tooting: http://www.iyyoga.com A very precise standard of teaching, genuinely in the spirit of yoga, absolutely values-led. The class first thing Monday morning with Laura Tuggey could be a great fit. She is a super teacher, but they are all good there...

Re: Paint a full house

Hi! We are always happy with the work of Owen Pottinger and his team, and this December they painted a sitting room and a bedroom for us at £500 per room, including some repapering and fixing after radiators had been moved, and including all the materials (Dulux Heritage paint). I know it's not a fu...

Re: Dinner recommendations Balham??

Lamberts is fantastic for quite a treat-y meal with very good service that isn't overly formal. We've been going there for years and it never disappoints.
If the parents are up for Nepalese food, Gurkhas Diner is also lovely, and not as expensive.

Re: Decorating

Can warmly recommend Owen Pottinger - 07956 388786. Has decorated various rooms for us over the last 10 years. Most recently we paid about £500 for complete redecoration of a sitting room that needed some repairs to the walls following removal of old radiators. He and his team are lovely to have aro...
