Re: Noise related to South West Four (SW4) festival

Agreed. It was one weekend, and other than the tubes being busy, it was hardly an imposition. Our children had a little dance to the music while we were walking on the common, and we had a glass of wine in the garden listening to the music and remembering when we were young enough to go to festivals!

Re: Daughter invited away but family flying bus class

How old is your daughter?
It may not be as simple as just booking her an economy seat on her own if she is then counted as an unaccompanied minor

Re: Sign-up for Clapham Common Bowling Green League 2020

Why is a putting green tacky? The one in Battersea park is wonderful. Used by old and young, in keeping with the surroundings and busy all year round, with a wonderful daytime cafe Bowling greens are closing because they aren’t of interest to people any more. They shouldn’t be preserved as museum pi...

Re: Birthday parties in Battersea Park - bookings now open

My guess is that it is the bowling green near to the bandstand It’s been out of action for a few years but there appeared to be a wedding being set up when we walked past a few weeks ago I don’t know what facilities the pavilion has inside but it could potentially make a lovely spot for a wedding or...

Re: Recommendation Needed: TTC, Over 40, Low AMH

Another recommendation for ARGC although they do have criteria for which patients they will take on

We also had positive experiences at Create, which specialises in low AMH

Re: Ravenstone School in danger

Sorry, can you explain the DBS and safeguarding point please?

I currently live overlooking a school and haven’t got a DBS check. Are you suggesting I pose a risk to children?

Re: Another 220 electric vehicle sockets fitted to Wandsworth street lights

This is really fantastic, and we have ordered an electric car primarily on the back of this provision.

BUT, why on earth can't the council or the providers sort out a proper map of where the charging points are?! It is infuriating!

Re: Recommendation needed: Fertility Clinic in London AND specialist

We tried several clinics Create: their approach is more natural, lower dose of drugs, will treat women with low egg reserves. The doctors are amazing, the admin side is disorganised Would recommend it especially if you work in the city where the clinic is as it makes it easy to fit in around your wo...

Re: Female dogs on heat - please don't walk them on the Common!

My jaw is on the floor at this post. There are few things more selfish than backyard ‘hobby breeders’ who keep their pets entire to pump out yet more dogs for clueless owners - no responsible owner will buy a puppy from them So the irony of one such person criticising other dog owners as selfish is ...

Re: Save Northcote Library and Chatham Hall!

LilyJessica
Surely people can use another local library temporarily until the new one is built?
There is one opposite the Asda car park and another in Balham - neither is more than 15 minutes walk from the Northcote library

Re: Not everyone employed by Wandsworth Council is paid the London Living Wage

I agree

As great as it is to have such a low council tax bill, it shouldn’t be at the expense of those who work there not being able to earn a proper amount to live on
