Re: Looking for a photographer for baby pics!

Susan Lea is fantastic. Beautiful pics, wonderful manner. She was so patient with our newborn and almost 3 year old and she even managed to get some nice pics of our dogs. I get pictures every 9-12 months of my two and Susan is the only photographer I’ve booked twice. She’s from Richmond way I belie...

Re: Breastfeeding help - first time mum in Wimbledon

Oh bless, breastfeeding is so hard it's like a dark art. I'm up to my second child and I had massive problems with both. I've learned so much I could be a lactation consultant myself.I do envy those who have a baby that bobs right on. in my 2 children I've had : Firstborn: couldn't latch at all so e...

Re: Howdens Kitchen

Our kitchen is Howdens and if I had my time again I wouldn't use them. They were great in the lead up but after sales service was poor. And a real bug bear for me was that their kitchens look great in the design but aren't practical in reality. For example, we wanted a wall mounted microwave. They h...

Re: Marmalade Cat or École du Parc

Completely off topic but when I add up the cost of childcare the numbers are eye watering. I have to pay nursery fees, holiday club, au pair and holiday daycare and the final tally is way above the average salary in the U.K. It's true the option of working is only for the rich and I'd love one of th...

Re: Marmalade Cat or École du Parc

Absolutely. I wish they had them for the entire duration of every holiday.

We otherwise try to time our holidays during the periods when nursery is on break and there isn't holiday club or we pay our au pair for the daycare.

It works but we wouldn't be able to do it without nanny/au pair cover.

Re: Marmalade Cat or École du Parc

My daughter attends Ecole Du Parc and she is unbelievably happy there. She bounds out the door each morning so as a parent I can definitely recommend it. I'm also always impressed by the quality of the learning she is getting. We would also like her to attend a local prep school (Thomas' or Newton) ...

Re: What's the going rate for regular cleaning and can anyone recommend a good cleaner please?

We have used Done & Dusted. I wouldn't recommend them.

We pay £10 per hour to our current cleaner.

Re: Door steps salesman issue

I've never heard of this company but if they do lovely bouquets then I would be very keen to try them (subject to them being confirmed as not pushy salesmen stalkers).
Please do keep us posted how it turns out.

Re: Help London flat too BIG!!

I agree with everyone's comments. This listing speaks volumes. Your agent should be showing the flat in the best light. Old photos is ridiculous and the listing doesn't even mention that you have fully refurbished the bathrooms to a high spec or that you are close to a coveted school. I keep one eye...

Re: Help London flat too BIG!!

2 suggestions: 1. "Its too big" might be code for "its too expensive". Are you being realistic in asking price and if you are flexible on price is that being communicated to buyers. 2. If you are desperate to sell have you considered styling the property. if a space is unique (ei...

Re: Virgin Media Fibre - Rubbish Service in SW11

I got so fed up with Virgin that I did in fact cancel. We were paying £30 per month for just broadband and the service was terrible. I called up to tell them I was probably going to leave and they didn't offer me anything special to stay. I spoke to Sky and they gave me unlimited broadband and the f...
