Re: Green light for five Wandsworth ‘School Streets’

Thanks so much for this information. DO you know which schools? It would be good to know so that we can avoid.

Thank you,

Re: Does anyone have any clarity over A level exam grades?

I think that grades will be based on a mixture of mocks and predicted grades plus some assessed pieces of work. How the whole thing is moderated I have no idea.

Is it just me or is this the wrong way around?!

I have just seen this on the BBC website and it makes my heart sink. Surely it should be the players taking a pay cut?!

Re: Virtual tutor/Nannies What are your thoughts???

I am not sure to be honest. I would have thought children who are still in need of a nanny need to have that nanny with them for all sorts of reasons, health and safety being a big one. Sorry!  Virtual tutor yes I can absolutely see a market for one of these. Children a bit older, can be left to wor...

Re: Newton prep vs Thomas’s

I wouldn't think that there is much to choose between them. I would suggest that the exit results in terms of school destinations will give you a good indication. Both schools send their children off to pretty academic schools. I have friends with children at both schools and they are all very happy...

Re: Moving Woes

Sorry to hear of your friend's situation. Is she coming back to her own home? As in does she own a home here? If she does then she will need proof that she is moving back into it etc. but everything should be much more straightforward. I think pupil services would be your best bet, they should be ab...

Re: Granny obsessed with granddaughter!

What they said.

I also think you could write a letter?

It's something that Graham Norton always suggests - in his words "when you have a difficult conversation with someone they can never take back their first words or first facial expressions. With time to reflect they may wish they could do."

Re: My 8 years old has been exposed to ****** by a friend - not sure what else to do

How awful for you all - I am so so sorry. The first thing to say is that this is not uncommon - however parents being aware of it is uncommon and very stressful. I am not attempting to minimise the stress, far from it, but when I was at primary school I remember a child bringing in some very graphic...

Re: Wilson's vs Tiffin

Not fakenews just repeating what I’ve been told by parents whose child was a pupil.

They had children in a number of different schools so I suspect they were able to comment first hand on the differences with other schools but happy to be corrected if that’s not the case.
