Re: Broomwood or Thomas's Clapham

We had a similar situation a couple of years ago, but slightly different in that our daughter was already at BH when our younger son was offered a place at TC. We agonised long and hard over the issue- our daughter was incredibly happy at BH and the gentler start to school had suited her perfectly a...

Re: Best nurseries for a Broomwood Hall school run

Hi I can thoroughly recommend both Nightingales Montessori 1 (in the church next to BH) and Nightingales in St francis Xavier- all 3 of my children have gone to the day nursery and my second is just leaving the montessori. The garden at the montessori is unparalleled in Clapham- huge, grassy garden ...

Re: Commute to the City - Clapham South or Junction??

Hi I commute from Clapham South to Bank area, mostly during the peak hours of 810-830 as I have a nursery drop off at 8am. It is busy but not impossible by any means (it is a very different story at Clapham Common). You might have to wait a couple of trains at times but they come every minute. Once ...

Re: Can a solicitor mummy ever achieve a work/family life happy balance?

Hi I think all of the above responses are very honest and accurate - law is definitely not an easy option in terms of life/work balance and I have spent a long time trying to work out how to make it work for me! I am a mum of 3 young children. I qualified 10 years ago at a large City firm and slogge...

Re: Nightingale Montessori Nursery

Hi There was another similar post on this a few weeks ago - might be worth having a look for it. My middle child is currently there (my eldest also went) and he adores it! The two of them are totally different characters and it worked well for both of them- in no small part due to the fantastic staf...

Re: Pediatric Cardiologist reco please

A second for Piers Daubenay. We see him on the NHS but had superb care on very short notice for ante-natal care and have subsequently seen him with my 6 year old and a second time for ante-natal care.

Re: Lost keys on road alongside Clapham common bowling green

Hello- yes it was me that found keys on Thursday PM (or in fact my small child whilst he was playing hide and seek!). Found them on baldwin road- , slightly worn. These sound like the ones? I posted on SW11 mums but no responses...

Re: Personal recommendation - fantastic spinning class

I second the recommendation! I started to go about 3 years ago, shortly after the birth of my second child as a way to get back into shape. I stumbled across it by chance and the real bonus for me was that some of the classes are late enough for me to have been able to get the kids to bed and my hus...

Re: Au pair meet up

Hi

We also have a new French au pair BTC keen to meet people. The night out isn't that local for BTC- let me know if your au pairs would be happy to be put in touch with mine to perhaps meet up locally?

Thanks

Re: Any new au pairs in Clapham/Balham want to meet others?

Hi
We have a new French au pair arriving next week too- I am sure she would be keen to meet some new people. I don't know of any au pair meet ups currently planned but would be interested to hear of any.

Many thanks
