Re: Some first hand travel experience post lockdown

Just to add we flew to Portugal and had to go with Ryanair as most airlines had cancelled their flights (it was when the quarantine was still compulsory). They certainly hadn’t sanitised, there was no asking for the bathroom it was just go as normal, no sanitising between the customers using it. My ...

Re: Need my B12 injection but GP closed for Covid 19

Haven’t read all the replies but my dad has PA and he can inject at home? Maybe this is something that can be discussed?

Re: Dogs yapping driving me mad.

Are they barking where one starts and then they are communicating with one another? Ours does this. If it’s early in the morning or late at night I bring them in and tell them to be quiet. People are in their gardens because they can’t go out of their houses much. I think whilst we are in lockdown y...

Re: Park incident

I think you will be fine. It sounds very traumatic. If you had seen the group of dogs, why did you keep walking that way. The woman was being kind and probably completely forgot about the new rules and just wanted to make sure your toddler was ok. There are far worse things happening at the moment. ...

Re: Lost Car Keys

I lost my car keys in December. You need to really notify your car insurance as if they are found and someone somehow works out it’s your car and takes it your insurance is invalid. Mine turned up 2 months later and I’ve since bought something called a Tile - retails at around £20 and is like gold d...

Re: Female dogs on heat - please don't walk them on the Common!

I agree with the original poster. Any respectable and well read up dog owner knows to only walk their **** in heat either early in the morning or later in the evening. Neutering and slaying dogs doesn’t stop unwanted litters. If people want puppies they breed regardless. Neutering and spaying dogs t...

Re: Nanny and kids interaction in parks/playgrounds

As someone who has been a nanny previously for children of that age I do think you are perfectly well within your right but the way you go about the situation is very important. I would play games with all the children in my care, in the park we would have little competitions etc. Engaging with chil...

Re: Mirena Coil Removal 'Crash'?! Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, I felt the opposite if anything - that coil was the worst thing that ever happened to me. It caused me so much pain over the 4 years I had it, that at one point I passed out in pain. I'm now on Cerazette and have been bleeding constantly for the past two months so I'm at a loss where to go next....

Re: Farting dog - help!

This could be related to a number of factors. However, kibble diets are known to produce hideous gases, it's not natural for a dog to eat a cooked diet. It could be that they are on a low quality kibble such as Royal Canin or Purina. Have you tried to suggest a wet food such as Forthglade? If the ga...

Re: Stolen land rover

Monaco you can get them in most places that do audio car enhancements etc. I got mine outside of London unfortunately. It is peace of mind although the landrover app does show the location of your car? I wonder if the stolen ones show a location?

Re: Stolen land rover

What an awful thing to happen. I have a new Evoque and was told that the older LR AND RR are very easy to steal due to the keys being duplicated easily with a master key allowing easy access. The post 2015/2016 (can't remember which) only allow two keys to help curb this issue. I have a tracker fitt...

Re: SW London mum drives 4x4 at cyclist and crashes into sho

In many ways I am precisely the sort of person the US auto industry is targeting in the design and marketing of their 4x4s. However, I don't drive at all nor do I think I could stand the sniggering ridicule from a large number of people who wonder whether it would not be a whole lot cheaper for 4x4...

Re: 41 and unexpectedly pregnant

Hi, My mum fell pregnant with my sister at 41 and had her at 42. My brother was 7, I was 5. She was an older mum anyway, but that was career driven. All I can say is, my sister just turned 18 and my mum 60, and it has kept her so young! She looks about 40! Yes she says she gets tired and exhausted, ...

Re: NHS Dentist Balham - Recommendations please!

The one on Sistovia Road is fab. I saw the young Indian dentist. He was calming and very professional. I'm not one to like dentists and even though I have relocated out of London, I still will try to use them when I commute in. They are that good!
