Re: Disney Land Paris trip

We’ve been a couple of times and stayed in the Disneyland Hotel which is right next to the park gates. The main advantage of staying there is you get early access to the park before it opens to the general public (and can get straight on the rides). Re: Basement companies

We used Advantage Basements a few years ago, as did a couple of our neighbours. They are really nice people to deal with and use high quality workmen. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Re: Jeweller recommendation for valuation and restoration

Yes! I’ve used Georgina Boyce recently to value some rings and repair my engagement ring. She’s lovely to deal with and is very experienced. She’s based in the Tonsleys.

Re: Nurseries - SW18

My children went to Mouse House and loved it. I have a number of friends who sent their children to Wee Ones on St Anne’s Crescent and were really happy with it.

Re: Basement companies

We used Advantage Basements a few years ago and we’re really happy with them. They’re very thorough, do not cut corners and use well-skilled teams. A few friends have used them since and we’re equally happy.

Re: Caribbean November holiday for family with 2 toddlers

We went to Carlisle Bay in Antigua when our children were 7 months and 2.5 years and it worked really well. It's a really nice size resort (not too big) and the beach and pool are lovely. My older child loved the kids club and the little one went in a couple of times (we had to pay for someone to wa...

Re: Can a solicitor mummy ever achieve a work/family life happy balance?

If you are looking to get more control over your work/life balance then I don't think that training as a solicitor is going to give it to you. I trained at a city law firm and worked for a number of years post-qualification (my husband is a partner in a city law firm). In my experience most female l...

Re: hurlingham school

My daughter is currently in Reception at Hurlingham and we could not be happier with the school. The staff are wonderful and the other parents are really down to earth and friendly. There are obviously a lots of families based in Putney, but there are quite a few who live in Wandsworth, Wimbledon, B...
