Re: Afterschool nanny - cost per hour?

At the moment we pay £12 and hour and then all tax & NI on top of that. Our current after school nanny picks up our 3 and 5 year old and brings her child with her so the rate is a bit less than if she was on her own. I would have paid up to £15 for the right person- it’s a lot of responsibility and ...

Re: Save Balham Bowling Green: Planning Objection

Access is from chesnut grove - it’s a good sized area. Planning committee meet tonight- 7.30 at the town hall. I hope the councillors do the right thing and stop this, which they should have protected under their own policies anyway. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. https://democracy.wandsworth.go...

Re: Save Balham Bowling Green: Planning Objection

It was a used as a bowling green and is directly behind the Balham Bowls club on Ramsden road. National planning regulations state that other open space uses should be sought for former playing fields unless there are ‘other material considerations’ for not doing so - this part of Balham is consider...

Re: PAYE for Nannies

We use nannytax - www.nannytax.co.uk - I think. It is quite expensive to join but they do everything payroll, pension, insurance and a contract. No complaints other than they can be a bit slow to respond to emails - although you can always phone.

Re: Save Balham Bowling Green: Planning Objection

Depressing. I think if it does go ahead the blame should be laid at the door of the council for failing to protect precious open space, even if only potentially publicly accessible.

Re: Save Balham Bowling Green: Planning Objection

Revised plans have been posted up on the site - looks like a small playground in the middle, more shared ownership and more money in to the CIL. The council meets on September 19th - presumably to decide?

Re: Sunflex Bifold door lock broken - any contacts?

Our sunflex doors broke a few months ago and when I contacted sunflex they suggested Leon Services who are in Enfield. They were quite slow in coming out but knew what they were doing and it’s all fixed now.

Re: Save Balham Bowling Green: Planning Objection

I think it's too late to apply as a village green unfortunately as it's not been used for over a year. What a shame. I think it could potentially be designated as a Local Green Space though as particularly as Balham town centre is an open space Deficiency area. More on this In the London Plan : http...

Re: Save Balham Bowling Green: Planning Objection

Does anyone know if anyone’s been using the land for recreation, since the bowling club stopped using it and when that was? There might be scope to register it as a village green.
