Building a community sports pitch in Clapham

Hi This is a small plug for the upcoming coming community engagement exercise that the Heathbrook Primary School PTA will be running throughout March to raise awareness of our plans to build a community sports pitch. :D An even smaller plug... I am running a marathon to help raise funds for the comm...

Re: Wix - Any recent experiences?

Unless you live extremely close to the school, it is very tough to get in to the bilingual stream. I believe the English stream has a much larger catchment.

Try Heathbrook. Our daughter has just started in reception and loves it. Excellent school.

Re: St. Thomas's

There are some great state schools in the SW4/SW11/SW12 area. Maybe have a look at those?

Heathbrook - 2017 start in reception

Hi - I was wondering if any other people on here that have kids starting in Heathbrook reception (Clapham Old Town) this September? From memory I think there were one or two.

Re: House hunting between the Commons - HELP!

You'll get a very nice place in Abbeville Road, or Clapham Old Town for that budget. And, dare I say it, a bit more value than BTC. All different areas though so depends what floats your boat.

Re: Primary school offer day... Get the school you wanted?

We got Macaulay which is wonderful. Also very interested by the expanded catchments as he is also 9th on the waiting list for Belleville which is a very pleasant surprise. In people's experience how far down the waiting list have they tended to go in previous years? Just to help my thinking. Thanks...

Re: Primary School Waiting List Stress - 2017

Which school did you get into? I suppose a risk with only putting three is that you reduce your chances of getting a place if they are all heavily oversubscribed, and then you get allocated a random school. I can't speak for Balham, but I know a couple of the Clapham schools around the Old Town / Co...

Re: Primary school offer day... Get the school you wanted?

:) son, yourself? Daughter! Fab :) I am so eager to receive a welcome email from them! I want to start getting organised for September! Where else did you put down? All the other local schools (except Wix given the Autumn Ofsted), but Heathbrook was first choice anyway, so got what we wanted!

Re: Primary school offer day... Get the school you wanted?

Does anyone know when the catchment area data will be out? I'm very interested to see if the new sibling rules have had much impact! I think it comes out by September as councils have to release the entrance data in advance of people applying for the 18/19 school year. From memory, Wandsworth get t...

Re: Wix Primary Results- is bilingual specified?

Does your original application not require you to specify a stream, and your offer will relate to that? E.g. Normal stream second choice, bilingual first choice, and it tells you whether you got your first or second preference.
